Please don't call them "casters" Arturo. That esports lingo is honestly cringeworthy.
"casters" is esports now? At this stage what isn't?

Never heard it on anything but esports style streams, so yeah."casters" is esports now?
The two words are really that much different ?
To... who? You?
To anyone who doesn't follow esports.
"casters, bad manner, GG" are all terms that aren't used in the FGC.
Ultradavid I think made a note of this in his article.
Because put_sagat_in_sagat, FRAY, and WHENS MAHVEL are much better... got it.

Granted, esports probably thinks FGC terms are stupid as shit, so it's all fair.
Though I've noticed they've taken a liking to "get hype".
GG is esports now? Wha. I use that all the time or good stuff or good shit in person.
I guess I used it a lot in quake 3, but that's weird for fighting guys to not know it, to me.
Caster seems fine to me as well.
GG has been around longer than esports as something to say after a game, but I think it was Starcraft where it became synonymous with forfeiting.

i thought GG was when you totally beat someone in any game that has text based communication.
Though I've noticed they've taken a liking to "get hype".
That was definitely not invented by the FGC, nor was it particularly popularized as a phrase by the FGC, either.
Get Hype(d) is pretty damned generic.
That's because League of Legends is a universal parasite.but its not a coincidence that league of legend streams have now been incorporating things from the FGC recently. I've never heard the term "footsies" in a MOBA game until these past few months. Nor did I hear things like "blowups" and "fraud"
Serious post?Only the FGC has the balls or stupidity (pick one) to use blown up post September 11th that's for sure.

"Caster" makes me think of mages."Caster" makes you think "Podcaster" in today's world. "Streamer" is just far clearer.

Serious post?
Why? We still say blow up a team or whatever In pro sports.
My friends still use it a lot in regards to sports.
I don't associate all things blowing up with 9/11.
It always makes me sad when people aren't actually talking about Guilty Gear.
It always makes me sad when people aren't actually talking about Guilty Gear.
I was just referring to when people type "GG" all the time.
Not talking about forum post, but rather stuff like live stream. Furthermore...no they don't. In sports they use "blow it up" thus referring to a team that needs to change management, ownership, and or roster. Still veteran analyst very rarely actually use it on air. Only one that use it are like sports blogger who are new to air time ex: Bill Simmons.
Remember a few years ago when Gilbert Arenas of the NBA had the gun thing? The NBA freaked the fuck out with "bang bang" (I'm being dead serious it was like panic mode).
Take the NFL for instance when a guy gets hit hard you might hear he got "jacked up" but rarely ever blown up (and it's not because they don't know about it because guys like Stu Scott, Michael Wilbon, Jason Whitlock etc.. will always use urban sayings and what not. Even reference stuff like drugs, and guns of course very few pick up on it). I think one ESPN guy used it once by accident, and he pretty much got demoted a week after. Maybe a coincidence, I don't know but I thought it was hilarious.
Some of this stuff have been documented in a few podcast I listened to where they make fun of each other when they screw up. Shit slips.....
Just did a quick video shouting out anyone who supported my stream/youtube this year, thanks and happy new year

I've heard "salty" a lot more recently, like in the past 2 months or so, outside of FGC stuff.
I still think it sounds fucking stupid, when I first heard it I thought "why is everyone talking like pirates here"
Of course the word was not invented by the fgc, but I'll blame it's recent popularity on it.
Happy New Years FGC! -=burps=-
That's one gif I would happily see the Brazzers meme applied to.What music video is that from? Is that a music video?
