More like the sacrificial lamb.

I love you guys.

Also I dunno how to pop off if I'm not playing Cao.

The difference is the introduction of floor kicks, mainly affecting the I and T pieces.

Currently trying to work out some thorny issues with stacking myself. I've recently started making strides in the right direction, though, as I've become more comfortable making anticipatory moves even when more immediately favorable moves are present and I've gotten better about not obstructing future clears. Normally I'd be doing amazingly well for a while and then just sabotage myself, and now trying to work on both avoiding that and handling it when it happens.

Oh yeah, my stats:

TGM1: GM in 12:21:40 (in Tex)
TGM2: Master S6 with 999 (on Cab w/ square gate), Death M with 524 (in Tex)
TGM3: Master S5 (in Tex), Shirase S5 with 500 (in Tex)

Not amazing by any means, but I've been working at it off and on. Also have a Top 500 time in Tetris Splash Clear 40 last I looked (was at least Top 400 when I first did it). Really haven't put any time into TGM3 Master, and I haven't felt the need to cut down my TGM1 time as it's not as fun to play as the rest. The past few times I've gotten back into playing Tetris a lot it's mainly to focus on getting Death M for real on Cab or in ShmupMAME. Sadly, the former isn't likely as the owner of the place refuses to take the 5 minutes to adjust the Sanwa gate from square to diamond.
I've hit M2 in Tex TGM3 Master a few times but I don't deserve it because it was mostly attained through abuse of the COOL system rather than raw skill. S5 in Shirase as well because I don't have the reflexes to beat torikan yet. I find getting back into Shirase hard cause any time spent away from practicing that mode wrecks your performance so bad.

Hey guys, I finally got approved to post here on NeoGAF after waiting TWO Years to get approved, time to get on the FG Hype train and be part of one of the best ongoing NeoGAF threads!

Welcome!

IIRC Keits account took 3 years to get approved, so that's not an exception. Mine took like 6 months
Have fun and don't feed the trolls

is your username a Takenobu Mitsuyoshi reference?

No, its something I came up with when I had the sudden idea of making a very shitty mashup album like 5 years ago or something.

But, I like the name, so I kept it, even thought it is part of something shitty I did a while back.

i don't even know how long it took for me to get approved. I made the account in 09, lurked for awhile and still wasn't approved so I just stopped coming to GAF figuring I would never get approved.

When I went to Final Round last year, my first match was PR Rog. I actually got bodied on stream. I think I actually could have done better, but I was way too respectful. No random or unsafe DP's at all, sometimes you have to do things like that to set a precedent for the rest of the set. Let'em know you're a little crazy so they'll back off. I don't know who you play but good luck. I still would have lost, I just wished I hadn't change how I played just because of who my opponent is. My match with PR Rog

As for how long it takes accounts to get approved. I just remember wanting to be apart of GAF before holiday 2006 rolled around so I can join in on all the fun NPD discussion because the PS3 was coming out soon. I remember only waiting days or weeks to get mine approved. It definitely wasn't that long. I don't know if it was because of the times or maybe I was just one of the lucky ones but it seems pretty random from person to person.

It only took my account about two months to get approved, but that was just long enough for me to nearly forget I made an account. But man, seeing the varying amounts of time it takes for any account to be approved is nuts. Glad I got in as soon as I did.

Because I finally got approved, I am feeling very happy, because of that, here is a free game for steam for one of you guys (Quote to Reveal)

Please post if you use it!

You guys didn't know? GAF does background checks on new members. Kappa.

You had two random wakeup DPs in that set that both whiffed.

2 years? Yikes that's a lot of waiting. Better later than never I suppose lol, welcome to the group!

That's generally not considered a random DP. Both times I did it because he jumped in on me after a knockdown, so I tried to anti air but couldn't get the auto correct. What I'm talking about is DP'ing through his block strings, after he uses focus to get in, or when he's simply standing in front of me after I get knocked down. Using it during those times are generally considered "random" and I didn't do it once.

How long does it take roughly and the criteria to become an actual member, not a junior member? Are their any differences really? As people probably can tell I'm fairly new to GAF, I remember it taking months to get approved, I kinda just forgot about it and then I just got that email and was like cooooool.

300 posts + at least 3 months of membership

ILoveBish:

Seriously: if you could articulate what it was about some mashing scrub winning a match on a tournament stream that inspired you to displace volumes of weight in a gym facility - I'm interested. I'm currently undergoing personal trainer certification and core gaming communities have been on my mind (in terms of how they can be motivated to get themselves in shape).

Don't be shy!

The entire video was so insanely funny it got me in a great mood and i was able to motivate myself to go. "He could almost win this!". Incredible.

I'm calling out PassAss, $100 money match, character lock, retsu do this

I'm picking Yun :p

YOOOOOOO WE E-SPORTS NOW WITH THE BETTING?!?!!?

EDIT: I am looking more into it, and playing for money is an optinial thing for what it looks like if you want to play against your friends, but you can play for money if you want it saids, and there is a Player Vs Player too that you play against randoms for cash too, and there are also tournaments you can enter for prizes also!

I don't ever remember being a junior. I didn't start posting until like 2 years after I made this account and I remember not seeing junior, because I was so confused as to what made people juniors.
