If Lapchi does this again, he really needs to get someone with a better sounding and more confident voice do the translated voice overs....who also speaks in the first person.

Daigo gonna tell Snake Eyez he'll let him be in his manga if he throws the match

Kazunoko treating Pepeday like a child that's been acting bad

You know, I've been wanting to say this since yesterday. If you're translating for the players, just speak as them instead of for them. It just sounds better to me.

Not if it's deliberate counterpick it isn't. Xiaohai zoned masterfully. I hate that he won but it is what it is.

Gotta disagree here pretty much 100% with the idea that it's less shameful as a counterpick. Snake thinks he's good enough to win things like EVO and that he can't learn anything from american players anymore, then he should have an answer to his bad matchups. In a set of first to 7, he has plenty of chance to at least try his counters to the bad matches like his Oni. If he's too stubborn to switch then that's on him. If he only wants to play Gief then he needs to solve the bad matchup. No matter how you cut it, this is one of the best american players going 0-7 to a character Xiao Hai isn't known for at all. That's 100% on Snake Eyez

To be fair, he beats like every other Sagat not named Bonchan.

Xiao Hai played the match perfect. Took no risks, whiff punished with buttons that Sagat players never even use (sweep, st.mp), anti aired literally every jump, and hardly ever threw a bad fireball.

Yeah, and it's not like xiohai hasn't studied snake eyez

it being his 5th string character or whatever doesn't make it more shameful.

I'm not looking to take anything away from Xiao Hai here. I firmly believe in Xiao Hai to be at least top 20 players in the world, he's a fantastic player.

Kazunoko in great position to win the whole tournament if he beats Luffy. Daigo has to win one of his matches in a blowout or win both of them. All of Daigo's matches have been extremely close thus far.

So the only tie breaker is game differential and head 2 head doesn't matter?

Kazunoko is most godlike scrub ever! Wake-up ultras, random dp's...everything works for him! He's godlike at being a scrub, and that's a compliment

Isn't daigo 4-1 and kazunoko 3-2 tho?

that's really how it should be in this format

although I thought Kazunoko had more losses?

Kazunoko is 4-2

Kazunoko has more losses, but his match differential is still better than Daigo's. That means that 1 loss against either Snake Eyez or Luffy can cost Daigo the tournament despite being tied with Kazunoko (provided both go 5-2) and beating him in a set. Daigo not having 1 blowout win will cost him.
