Fighting Games Weekly | June 15-21 | 16 is barely okay

The game of E3 thus far, Garden Warfare 2, has a character that does a hadouken and even says something like hadouken.

over 60 votes for VF, I'm really happy. hope MS just grabs everything from like page 10 forwards.

Do you think Sony will show off new characters or footage of SF V at the Sony conference? There's already been so much info now I feel like they might just show a trailer we've already seen. I hope that's not the case though.

That For Honor game looks nifteh.

It's Ubisoft though, so i'll wait for actual release and then we'll see <.<
Agreed. What they showed look good and surprisingly lacking in jank but it's still fucking Ubisoft...

It's basically like Chivalry but with a AAA budget.

It looked pretty interesting. I feel like every Ubisoft game looks the same and moves the same. They all look and feel like Assassin's Creed spinoffs.

I really hope that's not the case in this instance, or the game isn't worth playing, as the Assassin's Creed games are about as precise as a three-legged cow. Although Ubisoft can do some interesting/weird stuff when they want to, so who knows.

So how about that For Honor "fighting" game guys...

Since BattleCry looked ass, this is the highlight so far from me.

Although the tactical methodical combat isn't really my favorite.

Maybe at another conference someone will finally announce the multiplayer DMC-esque game I want.

Basing your multiplayer melee game on objectives and including NPC mobs in it are good steps, but I'd prefer a game with hyper action.

Yeah it's a more tactical/Chivalry type game play. More about spacing and precise strikes.

Still good to see Ubisoft put out a more game play focused game than just their usual OPEN WORLD ITEM COLLECTATHON bull crap.

Ubisoft can create those games when they want to -- the recent Rayman games can be surprisingly demanding (especially with the daily challenges they added in Legends). They also own RedLynx and Nadeo, who are very much mechanics-focused developers. So they can do it, but it turns out the money right now is with open world jankfests.

GAF still up, E3 must be a bunch excited but expected shit still. Trusting Sony or Square bring the house down.

With an hour and a half allotted to Arkham Knight, Black Ops 3, Morpheus, and No Man's Sky or whatever, I'm scared for their usage of time.
They'll also talk about sales and Not Jack Tretton will clap for himself awkwardly.
