David 'Daigo liked HDR 11!!111' Sirlin vindicated.
It's like Street Fighter except somehow less interesting. I'm still trying to comprehend how a game that is actually faster than SFIV is less interesting to watch. DLC gems are displeasing, desynced online sound, huge cast of DLC characters withheld, the Megaman troll (this honestly annoys me), teams that are barely teams at all, and the gameplay itself just doesn't look fun at all. I hadn't a bit of interest since the day it was unveiled and I watched the stream. I still tune in to SFxT when it's on in hope that the evolving "high level play" will look better, but it's not clicking for me.
I agree on the DLC thing, but the thing is not many know how to play the game properly yet. There's much to explore and experiement with certain characters, don't expect much solid gameplay til months later.
Speaking of which, how do you guys find the flow of matches in SF4 (or to be precise SSF4 AE) NOW, then from when the game was released?
"The game is fun, people just need to figure out why" doesn't exactly portend well for the future.
It's not about whether the gameplay is solid, it's about whether it's interesting. Clockwork said it best when he said that what determines a game's longevity isn't how competitively valid it is, but how fun the game is to play. I have no doubt that SFxT would evolve to high level, solid gameplay over a year's time. But is it actually fun enough to dedicate that much time to when there are so many other fighting game options out there? The general community seems to think not.I agree on the DLC thing, but the thing is not many know how to play the game properly yet. We've been so spoiled for the last few weeks... I'm having FGC withdrawals!![]()
There was a crazy amount of great streams last night. I bet there will be more later on tonight.
IPW is streaming Marvel from Southtown tonight. Spooky is suppose to be there also.
Did Sp00ky come out west to prep for EVO or is he there just to hang out? Like a mini vacation before he hits the vortex for EVO.
Either way I'm kind of glad there isn't a lot of U.S streams this next couple of weeks. After the road to EVO I felt burned out (AND I WASN'T EVEN THERE) I think everyone (players and viewers) needs some rest time before the big fat grand daddy of them all.

Mago's real name is Kenryo Hayashi. Pretty neat. Sounds like an anime hero.
Spooky is definitely a secret top commentator, I wish he could commentate more often. Although with him focusing less on streaming maybe that will happen more.
Probably cause anime heroes are usually Japanese #Kappa
But Mago is really Korean.
Most Koreans in Japan adopt Japanese names to avoid discrimination.
Wait, Marvel is on Saturdays at Southtown? I thought it was on Sundays?
Till this day ?
I know Japan did a lot of crazy shit back in the day for both Korea and China but I thought things would've cooled off by now.
is there a stream for that evo major thats supposedly going on this weekend?
