For that particular registration, sure. I've tried many times before over the last few years. I've been trying for sure since I started writing for SRK, which was a solid 3 years ago now.

Haha, if you're going to troll him you might as well ask what Wolverine's Vanilla tier placement was.

I wanted to go to UFGT so bad this year. It took place the weekend before my finals, though. :-(

Trolling aside, honestly speaking here;

When I said I didn't think Wolvie was good in Vanilla, it was week 1 and I had no idea about half of the things in the game. I was very ignorant. Also, when I said Ryu was bad in vanilla, it was also very early.

That said, looking back, I think Ryu was bottom 3 in vanilla. That character had serious problems and Im super shocked Chris G was able to win with him for so long without damage or ground mobility. In Ultimate, however, Ryu is a monster. They fixed his ground dash, gave him serious damage off easy confirms, and they nerfed akuma's assist and health (which help even the two out). There are legitimate reasons to put Ryu on your team now, even though I'd still give the edge to Akuma thanks mostly to his projectile eating tatsu and easy solo combos from throws.

Oh, I know the circumstances. I was watching the feed when you said it. The mockery is due to you being so assertive about the claim while, as you said, knowing so little about the character and game. It's not really something that I hold against you or anything, I'm actually excited that you got an account here. It was intended in a "welcome to GAF" induction spirit.

Also, Dive Kick is fun to watch.

You think WATCHING it is fun. Jesus Christ (no offense Keits), but I was like, cooooool when I was watching it at UFGT, but after you've played it and seen people get mad salty over it... that's when I truly started to fiend for it T.T

I was going to say the same thing. Its so-so for spectators, but if you add in player's faces during the game, its better, and if you play it/see it live, its pretty insane.

As a stream viewer, the faces made it gold. Also, "FRAUD DETECTED" is a level of hype even above a Marvel Perfect screen.

I think this depends on the team. Spitfire Twice isn't a blockstring, so it has some interesting possibilities. Maybe for characters that need their wall bounces for their combos? Hmm.

The situation behind the lack of stream goes something like this:
Supposedly Spooky was supposed to stream it. The mall that the event's at has very weak internet and I think there was some sort of agreement between Dream and Spooky. For some reason or another Spooky decided against streaming it (I think) and because of the weak internet, they decided against doing a stream. Closer to the date, I believe the internet was upgraded to 1Mb/s upload which is capable of running a stream but there was no designated streamer. The ATL MK crew decided they'd be down to streak MK so they were allowed to. Dream said people could stream MWC but that it wouldn't be anything he was going to be a part of (I presume because he was busy running the event). One person tried to stream but gave up.

This is mostly just stuff I read off the Tennessee thread on SRK so it might not be 100% accurate.

I think his only chance at EVO is to pick up a team like that and try to ride it to the end. People know his other teams too well now and other people do the characters better.

If Divekick had been an 80's game (even with 80s graphics), you guys would be millionaires.
You guys did a great job catching the essence of fighters without any of the fluff.

Also, playing VF hardcore kills your KOF game.
