I would say so but just don't expect the atmosphere of the first season. S2 has a slightly different tone because of the way the story unfolds and it's focus. If you can keep that in check and then keep actively thinking as you watch, then it should be fairly enjoyable. It doesn't really explain things out right but it has all the information there if you're paying attention and processing what's going on. The magical girl recycled footage might be a little annoying but they had to save budget, lol

Definitely watch the 4-ep OVA before starting S2 though as that'll bring S2 into focus much more than going S2 -> OVA. A lot of folks wanted answers to the bigger questions in the series, which S2 doesn't really address at all. That's a bit of the reason for the backlash and the ending can feel a bit rushed if you focusing elsewhere. But OVA -> S2 should really clear that up, IMO.

I'd want a Fate/Stay Night fighting game. Some of the battles in Unlimited Blade Works are ridiculous.

I'd be down for a Go Nagai fighting game. Just all the characters. Mazinger, Devilman, Enma-Kun, fuck it throw Getter Robo in there as well even though that's Ken Ishikawa.

Yeah, the 3rd season was a bit too gloomy by the end, but i still enjoyed it. You should definitely watch Slayers Evolution and Evolution-R if you haven't; they're a lot more reminiscent of the first two seasons.

The game is really fun though (imo). Game has a ton of execution though due to all the TKs you have to input for everything.

Eighting also put a ton of cool stuff for fans of the series as well when certain supers hit certain enemies.

Might be one of my more favorite kusoges.

Unfortunately Eighting might've been a bit TOO faithful. Assassin is the worst servant of the game. Also the fact that Caster vs Saber is really awful for Caster since Saber really can negate some of the attacks with her blade iirc lol.

Darker than Black S2 was a big wtf back in the day. They tried to introduce younger female characters as focus probably to broaden series appeal, but it ended up causing theme contradiction out the ass; like imagine if you spent a whole season hyping up Batman and his backstory only to have magic Batgirl star the entire second season, leaving a cliffhanger hanging waaaay out there regarding Batman from S1.

What made it funny is that the director of S2 DtB mocked the detractors by including their concerns in dialogue assigned to joke characters. Pretty clever. Unfortunately it still didn't really fix the problem.

DtB fighting game would be pretty awesome though.

DtB S2 younger char was really meant to be viewed with Hei. It's just easier to look at her as his proxy for development. The stuff that happens there totally makes sense for him too but it would be messy to try and force him through that after oging through Season 1. The 4 OVAs really help a lot though, as S2 makes more sense after seeing it.

Needs an animu with an extensive focus on fighting and crazy powers.

Hunter x Hunter, One Piece, Naruto, and maybe even Bleach.

HxH or One Piece 2D fighter would be the stuff of jizztastic dreams.

A couple tweaks and I think unlimited codes coulda been pretty awesome.

Thinking of a broken game that could have been improved made me remember how dumb unib was at first.

Has there ever been a good game based off an anime or manga? All I can think of is jjba.

It did get a couple of tweaks... on PSP. And they weren't the right tweaks either.

Watered down the combo system and made the game even more broken in some ways.

I've had so many wright ups about this idea, I can't imagine all the new gameplay designs from so many unique characters in this universe and the main cast would seem boring compared to the rest of the characters they face.

Gundam EXVS. Don't know whether it's still king of arcades or not though. Xenoverse seemed to be well received too.

EDIT: Haven't seen this mentioned. But it looks like here is at least one more patch coming for PS4 USFIV. Wish they would go the extra mile and fix Akuma's theme.

Most of the DBZ games are great. Yugioh also, if you want to get technical. Then there's the Bleach DS games, Jump Superstars DS, the Naruto Ninja Storm series, Digimon World DS/Dawn/Dusk, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom (again, if you wanna get technical), and so on.

This is just a list of the stuff I liked. There's plenty more that people will be happy to mention.
