Fighting Games Weekly | Nov 17-23 | Settle it in Smash

If it gets published by Sony then Capcom is getting SF made without putting much resources into it themselves. Samething as Dead Rising 3, series was allowed to survive through MS.

Although it makes more sense for Capcom to get a lesser series money hatted like Dragon's Dogma or (as much as I hate saying it) DMC5. Games that are on the brink of being killed off and just barely make their 2 million quota.

At first I thought that way too, but looking at how irrelevant X1 is in Japan, it's not a ridiculous notion. It could always be a timed exclusive.

It could also be an upgraded version of USF4.
It could be the case, but especially in a list of rumors that basically include "Sony studios are making a new game", it seems unlikely.

not the first time we've heard of sf being exclusive to ps4, so I'd bet on that. Notice that he doesn't say sfv specifically, though.
Not the first time it's been completely founded on fanboy hopes either.

Unless things have changed, I'd still roll with it being multiplatform considering, y'know, Ono said [the next iteration of] the franchise would be coming to both next gen platforms.

I like how this Capcom tournament stream is playing a bunch of ArcSys and SNK game music during it's break

yeah but you see, they didn't even run round robin pools for anything, they just did the regular double elimination pools, no resets

extremely limited setups+all the crossgame stuff (also 4v4 being stupid to organize)+poor management on an event that really should've been two days led to that mess

Oh damn. Welp, ignore me then.

Why not?

Just Uniel and Persona?

Not even Persona probably. Anime scene right now is insanely stagnant and the comp is pretty dead. Like so many of the upper tier P4U players quit or don't take it seriously and it is beyond dead in multiple regions. This is a problem across pretty much every anime game atm.

Edit: In the south everything outside of GG is typically deader than shit. Right now the feeling of apathy towards tournaments hit me.

wasn't it you trying to convince us that this was just a perception problem a few weeks ago?

Prolly, but it progressed in the last month or so to be really bad for the entire anime scene. The only game getting bigger numbers atm is UNiEL, and the comp is getting a bit better. The comp in virtually every other anime game has gone down, lots of known players not entering or playing as much, etc. P4U2 having kusoge problems didn't help, BBCP 1.1 being the most boring thing ever and having 2.0 out in Japan didn't help, plus the other games out. GG has been steady but it's in the "waiting for Xrd" slump. Pretty much the entire anime scene is in that waiting for Xrd slump, and it's not the usual "lol dropping whatever wait for the new shit" bullshit cycle, it's just legit P4U didn't catch on (I still like it but deader than dead in my region), and other comp and games are meh unless you like UNiEL.

I'm not the pessimist and like to say this stuff, but jesus it's really bad atm. Why I wasn't too concerned and tried pumping us up a bit ago.
