Fighting Games Weekly | Sept 29 - Oct 5 | 4th place wins a cake

SCV's super system isn't really that bad. Each character gets a different use to theirs. Astaroth's unbreakable command grab is really fun, Cervantes blasting people in the face has utility and it is well implemented in his combo sets, and the more basic characters like Pat used it for reasonable damage combo enders for new players.

SCV had other problems, but supers were not one of them.

Yeah, even SF4 lets you build Ultra by focus attack.

T7 Super is straight up desperation moves. And the rage boost is still in too.

Is it hard to comeback from a life deficit in Tekken? I thought the damage was naturally high.

Umm that's debatable. If it does exist its barely there.

I wish TTT2 supers were different.

I'd allow them at any time, but I'd scale the damage heavily to life left.
I'd also have some of them have different properties- Asuka's would be an all-levels counter, King's a command grab, one might go through lows...

Smash netcode has been pretty shit for me. Somehow Ultra runs better on PC. Wrecking with Ganondorf is hilarious though.

I swear there were like 200 kids all probably trying to get themselves a copy of Smash a local GS I drive pass. The Smash hype is real.

Took some percocet. Got my errands done. Chill time. Going to relax and do nothing this weekend for once. It's been a crazy one and a half months for me.

If the pain is bearable, I would suggest not taking percocet or similar narcotics.

Seen enough people get addicted going doctor to doctor, pharmacy to pharmacy trying to get their fix.

I'll be alright. Only thing I'm addicted to is love and beating up on people like Degen and Mes.

Good games Karsticles. That was the last game for me. Bowser hits like a truck compared to Wii Fit Trainer. I have to rack up a lot of percent before I can KO him without using a smash attack. :x

I am actually irritated because Wii Fit Trainer KOs so much faster than most characters. All of her moves are so damn safe. Meanwhile, everything Bowser has is easy to punish. -_-

Good games, though. The last five or so games were hard. My thumb kept messing up inputs. I am not a fan of the circle pad.

I can't decide on which customs to use for him, either. I think I need the dash grab just because it is the only way to open you up sometimes. I am less set on the other three specials.

Played a fuck ton of smash tonight and I feel nothing.

Pretty much. Losing is embarassing, winning doesn't feel satisfying, and I don't get much enjoyment overall out of figuring things out the way I usually do. Still playing to improve because being that bad at the game isn't acceptable to me.

Played Smash last night at a friend's. I'm liking the game. Matches do take a long time though with the increased blast zones, even with two stocks. I'm liking a lot of characters so far, and I'm starting to see who's pretty solid after playing.

Marth changes... I dunno. Definitely his worst version yet. His aerials are a lot weaker, so he has to be willing to go out there off stage for kills. Comparing him with Lucina, I find them both the same in terms of how good they are.

RIP Kuma.

There's been 2 Kumas, T1-T2 Kuma died. The one we have now should still be alive due to there not being much time passed in been the last few tekken games

Smash 4 netcode is pretty good for 3DS wireless. At least with a friend that's 40 mins or so away.

I haven't had any lag in 1v1s. Even FFA and teams are pretty smooth most of the time.

Smash 4 is so fucking addictive.

I think Shulk might be my dude.

Yeah right now I'm focusing on Little Mac and Shulk. I need to learn to stance dance properly, right now I'm only using Buster, Smash, and sometimes Shield.

I've had Smash 3DS lag playing locally with 2 other people in a car.

I've had more lag offline than online right now. SoCal to Florida is very doable and a lot of fun.

Offline, a lot of interference can make the game really bad at times :(

Edit: But yeah, pretty pleased with the netcode for this game. Much better than any Capcom fighter that's not on rollback netcode.
