Didn't you know? Owning a game entitles you to complain. Without ownership, no one will hear you complain as they will just dismiss you.

Honestly I would've told someone to fuck off (or asked them to suck my big brown dick) if they came up to me and started ranting about the game I am playing. At the very LEAST I would've told them to mind their own business.

Not at all, this is for the Smash whining. You can't really "own" Tekken 7 yet to make that sort of opinion on it.

Tekken thread is pretty obvious at this point... random user comes in and complains that Tekken 7 isn't that big of a change from previous Tekken games (game play wise and graphically) and the regulars come in and tell the users that they are full of shit or didn't really care for Tekken to begin with. This is why I put out my opinion early and got everything off my chest... because I already know that what I said is going to get amplified dramatically by the casuals or regular GAF members. I was actually very restraint in my comments and tried to maintain the most balance approach but your average gamer is just going to come in and just say stuff like "looks just like every other Tekken made" or "still looks clunky and worse than KI" without any actual research done.

This is going to continue until the game is released, probably even somewhat after it.

For fighters that don't have an OT yet (or when the game has been out less than a month or something), the place to discuss them is here- not in the general threads. Those places are pretty terrible generally.

The drive by " the shit looks the same " posts were annoying. There was an interesting point made about updating animations, I wouldn't mind if they mixed up kazuya's stance a bit.

Marvel OT was alive for quite a well- definitely pretty dead now though. I do think that the FGCW has replaced the OTs for the most part.

I swear every time I wander into Gaming Community the TTT2 thread is on page 1, and they'll probably hit OT2. I think most of the OTs last a bit longer than that and some of them can serve as good references (as it basically logs the struggles of a number of new players from launch).

To be fair, most OT threads regardless of genre eat it within 6 months.

TTT2 OT is active especially as of late because of T7.

You can bet your candy ass that if there is even some whiff of a new Marvel game/update etc that the Marvel OT will start moving again pronto.

Shake Shack is really overrated, it's the Third Strike of burgers

It's way too neat and way too small. The flavor should come from the meat + cheese and not the sauce, plus atleast when I went there they had those thinly cut boring ass fries. It tastes good, but it's not satisfying at all to eat.

It feels like how a Japanese person would try to make a "gourmet" burger.

They usually spring back to life when new content is announced. Like Tag 2, KI, Skullgirls, Ultra, P4AU

The latter portion is key, here. When people say "Because it's not Melee" they're not being charitable to what people actually value about the game at all. People want another platform fighter that pushes the strongest gameplay principles of Melee - not another Melee. You can dismiss that as "Yeah, you want another Melee." but it's just that - being dismissive.

That said, I would argue the former portion of your compound statement is largely untrue. This is being nitpicky, but I've never met anyone that didn't hope they could get a newer game in the future that builds on Melee's stronger principles (and adjusts its weaker ones) so that they could leave Melee behind at some point. If the point is to suggest that a bias will affect a Melee player's perception of the series going forward - of course it will. Everyone has their lean or composition coming into a circumstance. If you want to have a fruitful discussion, you address the principles presented, not the bias itself. That's practically an ad hominem offense.

She's pretty good in Melee. Like, obviously only borderline playable in tournaments but still playable even if life is hard and she just feels way better to control. Whenever I try her in Brawl I just want to snap the disc.


EDIT: Speaking of balance, I'm really amused by how the Starcraft community deals with balance discussion. So many people insisting that everything is a-ok and that one faction just can't be weak or some faction just can't be broken. It's a really odd culture that feels broken.

I feel like Samus is pretty strong in this game. Then again, I love playing Megaman. Bowser is so frustrating to play against keep away. WFT and Samus both give me rage.

Also, this place called Crave Real Burgers is the best I have ever had. Egg on a burger between two donuts for the bun? Tis to die for...

sako's Elena has been nothing sort of amazing. His space control, decision making, match-up knowledge, combos, mix-ups, everything has been so on point.

It's really too bad PSAS didn't come together more, at least enough to greenlight a sequel. A sequel done by the same team, listening to feedback on what was wrong with the first one could have been really good.

I'm tempted to pick up smash 3DS, are the chances good I can play somewhat consistently online? I don't have locals to play with so if online is a 50/50 not sure I want to invest.

I have good home internet, as good as it can be not being fiber anyway.
