I mean everyone knows Famitsu scores are some inconsistent stuff but for what it's worth: TTT2 recieves highest Famitsu score for a fighting game in a decade: 39/40.

EDIT: And putting far too much weight on "how a game looks to play." Casuals don't give a fuck about how fun something looks at the tournament level. Plenty of people on GAF found SFxTK looking fun beforehand and still do. Two casual friends of mine IRL though the game looked fun from media and still do, they ended up buying it and love it. Way too strong of a correlation he's making. How fun it looks in media =/= how fun it looks to FGC and at the tourney level.
Also making terrible comeback mechanic comparisons, and still championing SFxTK in the gameplay department despite admitting to it having so many gameplay flaws.

you know i always said there's a diamond in the mountain of crap that is sfxt. i can sort of see a good game. the movements are fun to watch. the animations are excellent. the implied storyline is interesting. the character interactions and stages and movesets and everything looks top notch.
unfortunately greed on capcom and sony's side marred what could have dethroned sf4 as the current 2.5D champ.
Since the arcade days Looks>Gameplay MK1 was able to compete with SF2 because it had blood, digitized graphics and fatalities not because it was a good game

Although I don't agree it could have dethroned sf4. 2v2 is such a game killer for me. Not sure where everybody else stands, but the purity of 1v1 will always be a draw for me.
I like me some tekken for instance, but I'll be passing on TT2.
I agree with you, but that doesn't say much really. SFxTK is just the embodiment of great ideas, bad execution in fighting games.
I really, really want them to adapt the gem system into the next SF or Alpha or something.
TBH I'm more excited to see the next Capcom game not because of which game it's going to be, but more to see if they've changed or adapted their business model in a post SFxTK world. Capcom has changed their approaches quite a bit since the beginning of this gen, and experimented a lot with their business models. Now embarrassment after embarassment, a public apology, a promise for change, sales of all their games slipping considerably, I want to see how they calculate their next move.

Wentinel is a weird pick since he kind of said he was sick of Marvel after EVO.

Looks like they didn't add San Diego as part of Socal. Wanted to see some Schneider action.
It's a solid pick not only because Y2J is a consistent player but because of the Wolverine factor. Wolverine start of the round gives even Viper some trouble and of course Wolverine is a solid pick against Vergil too.
