I have the Dreamcast version - which was OK but certainly not perfect - I don't really care that much about the PS2 version since I didn't like the Dreamcast game, or even the Model-3 arcade original

That was Fighting Vipers 2. The PS2 release is the original game, which came out on the Model 2 board and got a Saturn port. I don't understand WHY they chose the original, instead of putting out what could have been an arcade-perfect port of the sequel, but it's Sega, so I expect no less from them.
Too bad this version won't have Pepsiman.
Sega- Give us Fighter's Megamix with improved visuals on PS2. Forget all this other shit.
I'd actually purchase Last Bronx, despite how incredibly shallow I remember the game play being. They better keep the Saturn features, or at least the opening cinema.
Looks from this movie that it is PROBABLY arcade perfect... well, even moreso than VF Ages was as AM2 has developed "better texture compression" for Model2 ports to PS2. If so, I wanna see a VF2 Remix.
Are you basing your opinion on that trailer? Cause basing opinions on downloadable trailers is well..... Anyway, judging from memory of actually playing the ARCADE version over at FunFactory/Hawaiian Brians, the opening cut-scene SEQUENCE looks to be faithful to the arcade. Whether all the polygons and textures are there is yet to be known until some nit-pick can actually play the game on a proper monitor (not TV) and compare both ARCADE and PS2 versions.
So how are you basing your baddddddd opinion??? I don't mean to be inflamatory, but it is this quick draw to judgement that just irks me... and causes a sorta "Salem Witch Hunt" snowball to get rolling every time.
Oh well, I'll buy the game no matter the criticisms or praise.
