Sabao, seda, basilio, vikings buffet, conti's, mamou, theres a lot. Really depends on where youll be.

Go outside luzon. Boracay, Palawan, or Batangas.

Boracay Wet market is pretty much a safe bet. Thats a lot of places for three weeks. You should stay longer next time.

Haha alam na alam mo!!

As long as you wear the Filipino-defined clothes, it's fine. Long sleeved collared shirts paired with slacks is good

Anong kailangan mo? Ilagay mo lang dito.

Yep! Your current uber account should suffice.

I don't think there is

#AlDub 25 weeks na!!

Laking Pinoy to, men. Hahaha

Gusto ko umuwi uli. I love Philippines. If I got lotsa cash, I'll stay there. I love USA but Philippines has my heart.

When we went home last November, it was bad timing because of the APEC convention. Traffic x 100 hahhaha.

While waiting on traffic, I saw an old lady drinking GIN in a plastic bag and straw outside the store. Oh ha, only in da Philippines. Hehehe.

I'm so happy that I learned last month, that Wowowee were back as Wowowin. And on a rival channel none the less with the exact same concept lol.

Sorry dude... Willie sucks... I can't help but feel bad for the contestants many times when Willie make them do idiotic things for the sake of the show/money/"entertainment". Reminds me of how screwed up our country is economically.

Hey Pinoys, can anyone tell me why/how the Lakers are the basically the #1 team amongst Filipinos? I live in Canada and ALL the custodians at work and folks I meet love the Lakers (esp when Kobe came into his own). They go and support the Canucks too but mainly it's the Lakers that they talked about.

Kobe does a lot of stuff with the NBA in the Philippines, I think.

Canucks? Gross.

1. Kobe too popular for casual fans
2. Most Pinoys in the U.S. lived on California
3. Kobe = too good on 1v1 on NBA Live back in the day

I honestly hate it, because Kobe's playstyle bleeds out on the way some of us play ball. We better off imitating Steve Nash and actually learning to make plays because we can't post up against anyone other than other pinoys lol.

Didn't know Filipinos primarily liked Lakers. And I'm a LA Lakers fan myself lol.

The ones I know, family included, seems to constantly shift. Some used to be Lakers but are now either Cleveland Cavaliers or Golden State Warriors.

It reminds me I watched a documentary which showed, that Philippines is one of the countries in its region with the biggest growth, the because of the corruption, the individual Filipino haven't seen a rise in pay. It sucks.

Haven't visited this OT for a long time. Musta mga friends?

I love Pinas. I went home last November on a three week stay. I went to

A) Manila (duh)
B) Pangasinan
C) Baguio
D) Cebu
E) Bohol
F) Boracay

Pro tip. Go to wet market in Boracay and eat in Dampa. Buy fresh seafood in the wet market and you can have someone cook for you.
Can you do a breakdown how many days you spent un each places.? Going home decenber and id be lucky to fit Bulacan(hometown) and 2 of those places in 3 weeks. Lol.

Yes, and it is safe. Way safer than a taxi.
I needed this. Those taxi drivers waiting outside NAIA are shady as fuck as my parents told me.
Well she wasn't born there. Born in America, her mother is though. Hmm, I'm not sure what to ask exactly. I heard they speak Spanish over there?
Tagalog is pretty much a combination of multiple languages. I know tagalog fluebtly and incidentally learned spanish thru it because lots of tagalog words got spanish etymology. But i cannot speak or form a sentence in all spanish words lol.

You can start by Askung your cousin how his/her filipino moms/dads cooking is... Always works.

Edit: ahhh thank you jesus whole foods carries san miguel.. i feel blessed brothers.

I might try Uber for the first time when we arrive at the airport.

When it comes to locations, I think Boracay has been my least favorite place of them all. I just found myself bored and not in awe of anything there. I like Bohol and even though Coco Beach is a tourist spot I really like it there as well.

Though the best places to me is in the North.

That was the time when Cavite was separated from the Philippines haha! If you go to Tondo, they have inuman sessions happening in the morning time.

Haha ako din tawang tawa lang ako kay Jose Manalo

Mambo No. 5 in Kalyeserye heheh

Some parts here but it is not common. "No habla español"

Seriously??! HAHAHAHA! I can't believe you!! But to each his own LOL. Willy can get really arrogant at times but he has the money to show off. I think an ad spot on his show costs a lot.

I'm no basketball fan but some just join the bandwagon or hypetrain. LoL! But I guess they just like his style.

ShHHHH!!

An alternative to Uber is Grabcar. Their apps are readily available for download. Surges can get your bill pretty nasty though.

I'm not entirely sure if Uber is allowed in the airport. I don't travel frequently so I'll have to check.

UPDATE: No. You can't have uber pick you up at the airport. Stupid policy by the government to protect the interests of their taxis which will cost you a Shovel Knight game up to Uncharted 4 or more for a short distance.

Oh I had no idea Uber is in the Philippines. Sucks though every time I go home is I feel obligated to let family pick us up. I'm very grateful but I feel terrible having them drive an hour to Ninoy and then an hour back in horrible traffic through Laguna. I might just Uber it.

In my defense I don't understand a thing. Wowowee always seemed to be popular with the foreigners. I'm watching it for the dancing and the music that gets the whole family dancing. Everybody loves watching it.

That's the most convenient way for you bud. Unless you are brave enough to go through the traffic hihi! You may try going out of the airport through the regular bus or cab but that can get inconvenient of you have loads of baggage.

Hahaha. I guess, that's just the novelty people love.

I honestly have no idea what I wanna do when I go to the Philippines this April, other than play Tekken 7 and watch Captain America: Civil War. It's what I'm most excited about. It's also my birthday while I'm there but I'm not sure we will tell anyone.

With parents this time. But I might just hang out at our place and take it easy. I don't feel adventurous this year, and feel like I have seen lots of Philippines already. Might just stay in the north with cousins and uncles/aunts etc.

I don't remember how TimeZone works. Do I buy special coins with pesos that I can use for the arcade machines?

Most of the time you use special coins that you can exchange in the booth with real money but sometimes they use 5 peso coin but I haven't seen those machines in quite a while.

Book tickets at BGC, Taguig. I think it offers the best cinema experience.

You can tell us when your birthday is! Hahaa!

You buy a card, load it with cash on the counter and swipe it on the aracade's terminal.

Yeah alright. I do have blurred memories of TimeZone coins. Hopefully it's not too expensive playing Tekken 7 there.

I also gotta get a card with internet coverage. Do Smart and Globe have 4G connection now? I just hope they have improved their network in the province, like in Ilocos.

Oh great. Sounds very simple with the card. I guess I will also get a BanaPass card there. Anyway, BGC is in Cavite? Or wait, I'm in Cavite for a little time so how far is Taguig? I might actually be in Ilocos at the time of the premiere, so might have to watch it in Robinson.

Noooo!! Haha! Bonifacio Global City is at Taguig. Taguig is like a 2 hour drive from Cavite including the traffic. It's roughly 30 to 40kms.

I live at Cavite. Where exactly would you stay here? If you are near Imus, lots of malls are around.

I'm staying at Bacoor but it'll only be for a few days. We'll primarily hang out in Ilocos, I love it there. I'll find me a cinema.

Last time I was back, I was a hit with all the female cashiers at the various stores I went to. Not that I was flirting, they were just fascinated by how I speak English.

Didn't participate in the nightlife too much, admittedly. Had dinner and drinks with some people at some nice places.

I got a girlfriend here at home, I can't. Last time I were there, they did ask me, why I'm always looking for a girl when I'm there.

I'm just gonna chill and be with my family.

Fantastic. Gotta tell my homeboys back there to try it out. Netflix is life.

For locals who don't make huge amounts of Money, Iflix would be the better option. Only costs about 160php a month.
It needs improvements but it's pretty good for what you pay.

May tanong ako. When you guys play fighting games on Steam or PSN online, do you use like an Asian account? Which country do you normally play with? How's lag?

If her mother can speak Spanish then she's probably from the Zamboanga Peninsula. The language there is Chavacano which is heavily influence by the Spanish language.

God damn this El Niño, its already January and its still hot.

Ay ganun...

Are they a lot of Pinoys playing online street fighter?

I believe there's a small community of VS games enthusiasts here. Pinoy VS. And there was this other one which I forgot. I-Airdash is another group which normally plays Blazblu. But most gamers here are flexible they can jump from one game to another.

Not Filipino but I went to a debut of a good friend when I was in highschool and was clearing out my closet yesterday. Found a barong (sp?) that I wore way back when for it as part of the cotillion or whatever. I was like what the hell do I even do with this?
