Sounds like Nier's A2 is going to be heavily LB based on that Youtube video.

I screwed up and put all my Limit Burst pots in DV this last week. Also as you can fill your LB gauge by sacrificing an Ally, so you can have your LB up in the first turn, probably great paired with someone with auto-revive like Fry.

2B's LB is also pretty insane wit a 1090% physical attack.

I might keep my Nier units at 5* for awhile until I can get the necessary Burst Pots.

I'm going to use EV, in large part because I'm tired of everyone having the same team lol. Plus I like the fact he can 100% provoke and aoe cover, which WoL can't do right now. His gear will just be WoL's gear for me (Lightning Hammer, Shield, Max, Grand Helm, Arsha's, HP)

With the exception of shards of genius and robes/staff i gave all the spr/hp stuff to him. Going with a lb build for him.

20 pulls on average will get you a 9S specifically on the Nier banner.
40 pulls on average will get you two 9S specifically on the Nier banner.
80 pulls on average is what you will need, because your luck is trash.

This is the math I use on each occasion. Take the average expected pulls to get something, then double that.

For Nier, at least they added a nice GL exclusive unit. I really like A2 and Eve's sprite, and I liked both of them in the game. Kinda also cool that A2's LB is basically similar to her Berserk mode in Nier; where she takes damage over time but becomes crazy strong. I'm guessing she is going to be a finisher. If Eve is anything like the game I'm assuming he's going to be a counter-tank.

Atop that, she has built-in DW, can equip a lot of different weapons, and a ton of different multi-turn moves.

Yeah, I knew Ayaka was originally a solo 5* banner, but I don't have any doubts Gumi is going to put a 2nd with her because of how much people want her. Balthier or a GE. I prefer CG Fina, but her counterpart 5* on her banner isn't a unit I want so if Ayaka ends up being solo I will go all out to make sure I get her. As for 2B, she is a good unit, and I like her moveset, but I have 0 attachment to her so I don't care much about her outside of her TM. However it's only 10 ATK higher than the next best katana which comes from a 3* and also has a fire element attached so it's not that big a deal if I don't get it. My goal is a daily and 10+1's until I get 3 9S if I get a 2B or A2 while doing that great, if not so be it.

I'm fine with that, I hope the two new units are really good. That's much better than the alternative, them purposefully diluting the banner with garbage units (which is what I think is happening here)

Just to touch on a couple things here - per JP players on Reddit, her attack animations/frames are such that it can apparently be a bit flighty to perfectly chain copies. She's the move-to-attack type, similar to Aileen, so you need to account for that.

Her 999% self-destruct move is not Balthier/FV level because it does not take weapon element into account and also does not benefit from killer effects. It also obviously doesn't DW. So it's actually pretty mediocre. This could get fixed on GL? But I wouldn't hold my breath.

More broadly, none of the JP players who talk about 2B on Reddit are particularly positive about her. No one is saying 'pull for her, she's so good!' or 'great situational unit' or 'definitely worth the lapis'. The overwhelming sentiment is 'use her if you are a Nier fan or you pull her trying for 9S, but not worth the lapis to chase her'. I don't want to dissuade anyone from pulling for her! But know what you're shooting for. Onion Knight (who is going to be here as early as the following week) seems like a way better unit mechanically.
