I imagine not every character can get there, so what characters have the best chance of pulling it off? Also, is there a way to know if a character has hit the 400% cap? I've been looking into it with Lenneth (since she has the highest attack from my crew), but I'm not sure whether or not I can get there or if it's possible.

For ATK, you want DH/TDH characters with a high base strength and a lot of passives either naturally or whatever large ones you have. Lenneth has a hard time getting to the high end of attack right now because she has fewer passives than the current power creep characters and her primary weapons don't have super high abilities without STMRs. She can get 2600~ or so I think with STMRs but it'll be tough otherwise.

I think part of the reason JP is more generous is because of the amount of competition they're up against as Shouta said. However I do believe that if we look at the timelines of each GL has been more generous compared to what JP was getting at this point in their game. We've been getting a free 10+1 for the last 10 months or so, a free 5% moogle and king burst/hp pot each week, as well as daily login rewards since the game first started that gave us free tickets, lapis, and moogles. At the very least I would say they were equal in this regard, though I would say GL is "ahead". I do think we (the community) take for granted these GL exclusive rewards.

If I'm honest I wasn't even going to level him until my friend told me this. 30x is an actual ridiculous amount (even if it does cost a ton of mp). I have no one to use my raid cacs on so will level him if no one of interest comes out next week aka Nichol because he's the only upcoming unit I care about (and Lila but I don't want to pull on her banner). They said it's going to be someone the community has been asking for so I feel it may be Sephiroth and Lila's banner. If I had more lapis I would pull because that step-up was ridiculous for me in JP (I got 4 Rainbows on the last stage!)

Dang, I moved cross-country and it was a pain, can't imagine cross-planet, lol. I actually burned 5 4* guaranteed tickets to get Dragonlord after I saw his enhancement, no regrets. Leveled him up and maxed out Kafrizzle+2 and the MP regen skill (forget the name), and casually went in to Ice Bird, literally one shotted him on the second attempt (first attempt everyone either died or got paralyzed). I didn't even use a chain or buffs or anything, just one Kafrizzle, lol. I do have Barbariccia's TM though, for that magic Bird Killer. If anyone else wants to do this, I have my Dragonlord up right now.

5 tickets in on Batch 2 on GL and my alt got Fryevia. x_x (I love her! Capped her out and capped two abilities already. Missing Tech and Black for the other two.) Went Gold -> Rainbow. Now my alt has Olive and Fryevia. My main is crying tears of jealousy.


Edit: 20 tickets on main. Called it at started of 20th ticket no more. So it comes down Rainbow. Emperor. Meh. First here but I wanted anything on banner but him (and Jiraya). My main gets no love.

It's the adjusted Step-up that came after they realized the first one wasn't going to fly, lol. It'll be a bit pricey to do but it's not bad. The 11000 Lapis version is way better IMO but that'll be latter and then every other banner.

I did a couple of vids for the Discord about DH ATK Lila vs SPR Lila. I tried to mimic the standard gap in stats for the builds which is about 700 points. This is with a 7-star Lila so the stats are a bit higher but it should scale. The only thing is that I didn't fully chain the SPR attack. It should be like 55 hits but I got 2 separate chains. However, it's a triple element chain so a full chain would only be a little more damage overall.

I'm really hoping to get her, I like the gimmick units that can change the dynamic of a fight (iNichol, D.Rain, etc) so having a SPR based attacker sounds right up my alley. If i get a Seph, I won't complain. I still haven't even attempted a 10 man fight, so the more chaining partners I have, the better. Still haven't tried Aiagon either (whoops!)

I blew about 20 tickets, a 10 + 1, and 5000 lapis on the first Step Up rank and got one rainbow that ended up being Emp Shera. Ugh. So I guess going forward, I'm gonna stick with 1/2 dailies. Not gonna waste more resources on this. The last couple of banners I've gotten rainbows, but they keep being off banner units. It's kinda pissin' me off a bit.

I ended up with a bunch of the magic tank 4* guy.

Spent last 15 tickets (including the shit 10% 5* one). Batch 2 banner kinda killed a lot of my stock. To get shit. Nothing from the tickets today. Spent 5k on accident on banner instead of step-up. All blues except the obligatory Gold at start. Then spent 5k on first part of step up banner for at least Moogle. Obligatory Gold and rest blue + the Rainbow for the fucking Moogle. It's not part of the pull guys. Just stop.

So yeah. I'm left without any tickets. Almost devoid of all my lapis. And not a damn thing to really show for it from this banner or Batch 2. Yay.


Edit: Guess MK pickings are meh at best anyway. Makes me feel better since its been raid/MK/rinse and repeat for a while now. Been tiring. (Should note it's been busy between GL and JP, not just GL.)

This banner just likes to taunt me. I've decided that going forward I'd just do the free daily and the 1/2 daily. Today the 1/2 daily came down rainbow and I ended up getting my second Lunneth. I've gotten a bunch of rainbow crystals recently, but the last on banner one was Yuna. I didn't even get Lulu. But I guess a rainbow is a rainbow and I'll be able to get 7* Lunneth when the time comes.

I love that this is the first event I can actually do LGD on with full bonus units. No damn 2+ enemy fights in the middle to throw off your tactics. I ended up getting a Sephy from a 4* guaranteed I bought during the event, so I offically got all the banner units without going into the step-ups. Feels pretty good. I really like Lila, but I was using her completely wrong for the longest time and wondering why she sucked. I went with the usual SPR build, but was using the ATK based attacks. Whoops!

A lot's changed in the meta since it was release, and I have a ton of options now that I didn't have then (2 A2s, Fryevia, Max LB Ang, E.Tidus, Basch, etc). I'm wondering which way I should try to tackle this. I definitely do not want to do the 2.5 hour reraise fest method, which is why I waited for the meta to shift before trying. Best case scenario - what's the most foolproof and fastest method these days?

I vaguely remember what you're talking about with 2B, I remember trying to get in on that but none of my iDevices were old enough to make it work. I think I might just go balls out with 3 A2s chaining, LMS soaking up the damage, and buffs or reraise or whatever else I need. Pretty sure that group will be able to do the body first method.

Lila sounds like the real prize of the banner (at least until 7* hits), so it could definitely be worse, sucks you didn't get Sephy though. Right now all my friend units are Sephiroth, lol. Based on my FL, Gumi must have done ok with this banner.

I did a handful of tickets on the Lid banner (haven't been really playing much since I was on a trip this weekend), nothing exciting. Got that 4* unit. That Nibelheim exploration was way tougher than I was expecting for standard event tier stuff. I ended up swapping out my healer with Rikku and he went down immediately afterward. Team was Basch, Lunera, Rikku, Sephy/Friend Sephy.

Also built out a full evasion Fire Veritas to finally beat Ifrit 3*. I tried him legit a few times and it's too much of a hassle, so I'm reduced to this.

If anyone is interested in me putting him up as my friend unit, let me know. He literally can't lose the fight. Just bring Xon with Shiva and hide every turn until you can summon her.

Well i mean the sprites are old, but I'm expecting new challenges with these higher level trials. I get what you're saying, but there's a lot of content right now (some rerun, some new - new story, Lid Side Story, Raid, etc) The game could definitely new some new event types that aren't raid/mog king/Side Story though, I really agree about that.

Sorry I've been inactive again guys. Life down under has been time consuming lol. So in regards to old content, for me this is great as I missed this mog king and I missed all the fan units, of which I really wanted the girl with the dark sword so I'm happy to have them come back. Coupled with the fact the raid comes with moogles for TDH this is a good, albeit busy, week for me in the game. However I can understand people not being happy about it.

In regards to pulls I was really pleased with how I did. My aims for the upcoming banners were Nichol, Medina (if she comes on a banner), Rain (depending on resources), Hyou (if I obtained TDH gear), and Elly (if we get the collab). The only 2 exceptions to this were if we got another TDH banner (which we did) and if Wilhelm came on a banner as he is my most wanted unit (alongside Loren and Lunera). With the step up I was prepared to do 1 full lap as I had 30k lapis (which I was saving for Nichol). My friend decided that we should use 1 10% ticket, 10 regulars, and then 5 4*s. After that it would be step ups.

Tickets produced nothing. And the first two steps of the stepup gave me 4 yellows in total. Then it all went off. I got 2 Rainbows on step 3. Elfreeda and Luneth. 1 Eflreeda down, 1 to go. Luneth goes to join the unlevelled 5*s lol. Step 4 gave me 1 Rainbow. Cloud! So now I'm going into step 5 hoping my guaranteed is Elfreeda #2. Step produces 2 rainbows. The first one is....Wilhelm!! You guys don't understand how crazy I went. Couldn't believe it at all. My most wanted unit finally came home off banner. This whole thing was completely worth it for that. And my most wanted unit off banner. Totally worth. Shame the Luneth couldn't have been something else but what can you do.

Sorry I've been inactive again guys. Life down under has been time consuming lol. So in regards to old content, for me this is great as I missed this mog king and I missed all the fan units, of which I really wanted the girl with the dark sword so I'm happy to have them come back. Coupled with the fact the raid comes with moogles for TDH this is a good, albeit busy, week for me in the game. However I can understand people not being happy about it.

In regards to pulls I was really pleased with how I did. My aims for the upcoming banners were Nichol, Medina (if she comes on a banner), Rain (depending on resources), Hyou (if I obtained TDH gear), and Elly (if we get the collab). The only 2 exceptions to this were if we got another TDH banner (which we did) and if Wilhelm came on a banner as he is my most wanted unit (alongside Loren and Lunera). With the step up I was prepared to do 1 full lap as I had 30k lapis (which I was saving for Nichol). My friend decided that we should use 1 10% ticket, 10 regulars, and then 5 4*s. After that it would be step ups.

Tickets produced nothing. And the first two steps of the stepup gave me 4 yellows in total. Then it all went off. I got 2 Rainbows on step 3. Elfreeda and Luneth. 1 Eflreeda down, 1 to go. Luneth goes to join the unlevelled 5*s lol. Step 4 gave me 1 Rainbow. Cloud! So now I'm going into step 5 hoping my guaranteed is Elfreeda #2. Step produces 2 rainbows. The first one is....Wilhelm!! You guys don't understand how crazy I went. Couldn't believe it at all. My most wanted unit finally came home off banner. This whole thing was completely worth it for that. Damn dude, congrats on that pull streak. Nothing hits those dopamine sensors like getting multiple units that you wanted within a few rolls. Sorry you didn't get your 2nd Elfreeda, but you can hardly be upset by those results.

I could play on an emulator, but I play it where ever. I can't carry my Mac all over the house. So at that point, I'll be dropping it all I guess.

That sucks. I read up on it, and it doesn't say it's a definite that your device won't work, they're just not going to support it on those devices anymore, so there's a chance it could crash/run slow/etc. Still, you and E sound like you're about at the end of the road with the game in general.

Ah I heard about that. The update does sound really good though. Do you not have any other devices you could play it on? Maybe it's time to just drop GL. You sound as burnt out as I was when I quit. Playing the same game twice and TM farming ruined it for me. I've been really happy with the game since I've been back. I manage my time better and I don't TM farm.

If I quit, I'm gone. Which is why I'm still around a bit. And GL and JP would get dropped together. It's an all or nothing. But at same time, it doesn't bother me. Maybe Pokemon Quest will wean me and I'll have a new addiction? LOL. (To be fair, I don't TM farm. I tried early on and found it wasn't for me. I would have quit months ago otherwise.)

I could run it on my phone... but that becomes an issue as I'd have to link my alt account (which I probably will ultimately do before I quit anyway... so I have a chance to go back to that one if God forbid I do come back.. or give to someone else) and then FB login/off swap for main and alt. Not even going to entertain that idea. Plus, the small screen vs iPad screen, no thanks.

Crash/run slow/any other bad stuff wouldn't even cut it for me anyway. At that point why even download it. Not like my iPad runs well anyway. When I finally decided to get an iPad, figures it'd be the one they screw me on. (This one was up like.. 6 months if that before a new one? Apple. -_-)

I am thinking, depending on how next few days Pokemon Quest go, just letting that be my little guilty pleasure from now on.

The notice in JP is a list of devices they officially support, i.e. ones they've tested on. Every other device may or may not have problems but we won't know until the update hits. It shouldn't be a huge issue though, I think.

I got the tickets from the last login bonus of the day and BAM!, I got my 2nd Maria to make her 7-star. This allowed me to get my 2nd Citan from the pick your unit tickets I got from doing the step-ups. Pretty happy to get them all and even an extra Elly.
