True, but to an extent. If a player is actively trying to escape a certain notion about their playstyle, I prefer to give them the benefit of the doubt. If you're blarg or Sorian or Seath who doesn't even try, then fuck 'em.
I can't imagine it's fun being caricatured into a certain playstyle
I'm not even sure you realize how many posts they both have...
A cursory glance isn't difficult whatsoever.
NX's main downfall was you let Blarg and Salva play that stupid game and lost two town that day when you should have only lost one, combine that with odd play from others (Kark), letting me live, etc. Blaming Blarg when he was barely any of the issue is going a bit overboard. Without speaking to games in progress, Blarg is consistently on the money in most games he plays in, see Cthulhu as an example off the top of my head, he knows what he is doing, he just dicks around until he has a solid lead.
Your thing about Xam and UJ assumes a cohesive scum team that is also running everything by each other at all times. That isn't always the case, scum post on their own without the go ahead from others very often. Both of these two posters have made mistakes that doesn't stop them from being scum in any way. Things get said and that is that.
Yes, I obviously think Hyper is scummy as well, I think UJ has a higher probability of being scum personally, only made worse by the fact that he is watching the thread but is not engaging since Xam is feeling more heat.
I can't imagine it's fun being caricatured into a certain playstyle
How do you feel that Xam isn't even going to try to throw up a defense, Sorian?
The same way I feel about UltraJay not throwing up a defense. Ultra still gives me the heavier scummy vibes pre-lack of defense.
I voted Xam to prod him and then he never responded and just kept up his bullshit. I didn't retroactively change my reasoning at all. I had my vote and then decided to keep it on him since nothing was changing.
But guess what? Xam is actually reacting to the game now! This is all I wanted. Though I want to make one thing clear:
Not a single person aside from Sorian has explained their vote on me. Not even Xam. They are all on the bandwagon. Everyone is a "me too" vote. Take that in mind.
Also, Sorian is saying I'm not engaging posts even though I sat here for an hour waiting for people to wake up. Then I took like... a 30 min break and people show up now. Good.
But let's not say I'm not a man of my word. Xam is in the game now, so my vote leaves...
Vote: Hyperactivity
to someone who needs it. What are you doing, Hyper? I think Seath is not helping either but I'm not sure about his alignment. I'd like you to get back with me about those Xam and Me reads.
Looks like he's given a defense. Maybe switch to Xam now?
What do you mean what am I doing.
With the way things are, I doubt we're getting scum today. We really are just prodding inactives and low post-count players. And tbh, I'm tired of having to write "Inactive, no read, he should post more." Seath hasn't fucking tried, and you guys are gonna have him go through the entire game like that, because scum won't be touching that one, and everyday after the first will have suspicious people
Eh, you posted a lot more after I typed that. As for Seath, I'd like for them to speak for themselves before I make a decision.

I leave inactives to the vigilantes and investigators. We're scum hunting, not cleaning up the list so that you can write better reads lists.
UltraJay - I'll get it out of the way and say that I think UJ is scum this time. I'm not super confident but he has been hovering in the background a lot. There has been a lot of promises of posts to come but they seem to not pan out or not be as in depth as one would hope. Here's the kicker for me though, he votes for Xam as a prod and then gives a scum read on him later. Which comes across as him trying to justify a vote that was just sitting out there to me. This reasoning came almost a full 20ish hours later (maybe a tad less) and while Xam did not really respond to the prod during that time, the information that UJ uses to justify Xam's scumminess came from before the actual vote. I think he found an easy target to land on and went back to find good justification for leaving that vote there all day.
I'll switch to Hyper before Xam, you seem very set on getting votes off of Ultra for some reason? You were also there to make the lead on Xam over Ultra a lot bigger. Noted.
Curious that you aren't switching to Xam to try and help yourself. That free vote could be important though, smart. Wile the band wagon on you is interesting, it is all coming from players who I know tend to not be the best at explaining theselves. It;s not really uncharacteristic, Xam is voting to save his own skin.
Vigs and investigators are 200% better suited for going after active players, because a scum team in charge of the conversation for the day is far more dangerous.
You fucking want investigators going after inactives?
Even vigs, there are multiple ways to approach that role

You yourself has stated that you don't have that great of a read on me and yet everyone has joined your conga line with no reasoning of their own. Of course I don't want to die. Personally, I was hoping to have a slightly scummy/low poster read to get scum off my back and you're ruining it Sorian.
I'm curious as to your voting behavior. Xam and UJ were both posting very little. Your argument for UJ looks like you were going out of your way to find a reason to lynch someone other than Xam. You really reached to find a reason to vote for UJ. I think they are both very similar posters, participation wise. I didn't find either more remarkable than the other. So, with UJ having defended himself, I'm curious why you'd still be avoiding Xam.
I want investigators and vigs going after whoever they feel is right, that doesn't change the fact that cleaning up inactives over night with PRs is an extremely viable strategy. You are trying to get a lazy vote in on Seath, you are eitehr trying to detract from a current frontrunner or just trying to seem useful over all.
Sorry to ruin your day, it's a fine line to walk. I'm not going to drop based on what you are insinuating though. You came off scummy. Ever since I voted for you, your defense has done nothing to make me feel better and has, at times, made me feel worse about you.
Because honest read is that he realized he had to change his playstyle to actually survive and help his team. At the moment, I am more certain he is town than scum, of course I am going to avoid him, fuck following along on your little bandwagon when I don't believe it at all. Pretend all you like but I explained myself on both players already, I continue to see scummy behavior from UJ and he has even just said himself that he was hoping being scummy would let him skate by so he is aware that I am right.
Blarg, please, this is your last chance mate, dont fuck it up !
I never asked you to follow my bandwagon.
Let's put something else on the table here. Xam pretty much slipped and stated he was a PR, alongside me. We both misread the opening post about role PMs and thought everyone had a named role. So, why would Xam skate out of the day without PR revealing with his neck on the line? Is it because he has a Chaos PR?
You obviously caught this mistake since you were posting right there. That's why I'm asking you why you're defending Xam, who elected to let himself be hung in favor of potentially role claiming to save his life.
Sorian, a lazy vote is a vote with the bandwagon
VOTE; UltraJay
that's a lazy vote
VOTE: Seath
People say I'm trying to distract from the frontrunners. I'm pointing out the fact that we're mainly voting based on inactivity, and if we're doing so, I'd really go after someone who hasn't even tried
What was the argument against Xam again? That he was inactive, posted fluff, and didn't have a defense?

Yawn...
Seath's gonna be here at the end of the game, because town will never lynch an inactive past day 1 and scum iwll never kill an inactive past day 1.If hes scum, I have to applaud him, he had the balls to sit there and do nothing and try and win the game
When did he do this?
You going to react to anything other than votes on you?
Post #187. Obviously if he was a normal, he would have understood the system for normal townies
That's also why I voted for Swamped. I thought she was smart enough to notice this and may have been capitalizing on it to kill an easy PR in the day time. However, going over the past page, I realized it was far better to pursue Xam and UJ.
I haven't even seen the post you guys are talking about, but let's assume what you are saying is true
You guys are illing to posssibly lynch a town pr, when any cop, or even better, tracker/watcher could catch Xam in the act...
Yawn...
I'm not going to be the deciding vote on Xam, that'd be pretty scummy to do. I'd still like him to try and defend himself a little more however. Apparently he's packing now but he better be here for the deadline.
Sorian, I'm really going to disappoint you being town, aren't I?Unless you already know that.

Shit, are we going to just lay this out in the open now? This is the "problematic" thing I was talking about. If a town PR or scum person was like, "Oh! So normals get job titles, huh?" It immediately outs them as anything but a normal town. It is why I tried my best to not mention it IN ANY WAY than the little tid bit I said. But Daryl is just blasting this info out to everyone who may not have realized yet.
We have no idea how many town PRs there are. Probably a lot. So which is why I'm hardly afraid of outing myself.
Darryl, if you're seriously a pr, you're a dumbass
Just would like you to know this
You kind of did, also I wish you hadn't have drawn attention to anything involving this. I purposely pointed everyone back to Scrafty's post about ordinaries in a weird way to detract and so we could move on. Xam has an hour and a half, I don't expect him to go down swinging without a role claim but it is good that he is waiting. Saying you aren't going to be here around time doesn't mean shit.
How do you feel that Xam isn't even going to try to throw up a defense, Sorian?
I'm not voting on inactivity, my logic on UltraJay has 0 to do with inactivity. You're putting words in people's mouths to justify your lazy vote.
.
Although I tried to detract, it was fairly obvious, scum has multiple team members, odds are one noticed.
