I liked X-2. It was a fun, carefree sort of game with a great job system.

The job system was great. But that's all there is to this game. Sorry but I am not a fan of this whole Japanese sexy thing. Sorry not my kind of thing. It was nothing but trash.
I mean, I dunno man. Darryl is Darryl, not the Wandering Minstrel of Eorzea weaving an exaggerated tale of heroics. Based upon what I know about him, I don't really feel like he's trying to craft a narrative. although I do find it interesting that he basically came up with a list of numbered bullet points, and then immediately dismissed the first one however.
They can do whatever they please, I'll still look down on them for it.
It's not lost on me that Darryl was probably being sarcastic.
If Darryl were Yoship, I would be voting him out on principle after the horrid relic weapon they just released yesterday.
Anyway, the reason he gave for dismissing the first point is fine, he says I'm contradicting myself which is good enough reason to ignore that bullet point, it's just he is missing the point or focusing in so hard because I'm not actually contradicting myself.

I'm not a big fan of voting early, especially on day starts where we have very little information like this. Also, I'm a little bit silly, and quite enjoying the Final Fantasy theme right now we have going on. I was an FF fangirl long before being a Persona fangirl, after all. Some of the players are familiar to me from either the previous game, others like yourself I believe this is the first time we'll be having a conversation at GAF.
I watched you a bit last time so I know you were playing as scum last time. I don't know what you are this time so I'll just ask your opinions on a few things.
What are your thoughts on lynch vs. no lynch on day 1?
These games usually have neutrals in them, what are you expecting based on any information we have so far?
The game size is 17. How many scum do you think there are?
I hear Sorian's responses and I do not find them adequate. There is so much ad hominem and deflecting that I actually cannot see a genuine effort to engage with me and promote positive discussion. I do believe my argument with him had merit worth discussion, although it was largely a gambit to see his response. His play is imo anti-town and I am done with this line of discussion so we can hear from other players.

I purposely do the same thing at the beginning of each game that I play because I know someone is going to come up with some ridiculous argument against it every once in awhile and when it's a vet who knows better, it tells me that they are reaching. I'm glad we have your permission to hear from other players, is it ok if I ask Nin about his vote?
So how is Hyper giving you scum tells? My RNG vote goes out and I usually change it once the person actually engages the game. He has not done that so my vote is still there but same reason, he hasn't really engaged at all yet so where are the scum tells?

Interesting choice of questions. I'm kind of indifferent to if we should lynch on Day 1 or not, right now. I've heard a lot more in regards to being for a Day 1 lynch vs no lynch, but at the same time I lack the experience playing forum mafia in order to say either way. In regards to the other two questions, Scrafy did describe this game as an eight on Crab's scale, which is role madness. This makes me think the scum team might be on the smaller side regardless of the presence of neutrals.
Xam seems to be very cautious, just something I noticed right off the bat. Is he trying to avoid Sorian/Darryl heat on himself?

Just to let everyone know now (I know some are busy today but this is once you can start getting in here to read and judge), I expect everyone to have a vote down of some sort especially as we start getting closer and closer to time ending. It forces scum to take sides and allows us to look at voting patterns.

Hi all, excited things are starting but not really sure what to say on the issues that have come up! I don't like the idea of voting for someone randomly, but I do kind of like the pressure to make something happen today. I want to see how things develop more before voting, but I do intend to vote today.
FYI I will be absent for most of tomorrow (i.e. real tomorrow, Friday) since I'm on a 9-hour flight to visit family. Can check in a little more regularly during the day after that though, as I'll be on vacation.

I assume it's a given at this point- don't role claim day 1, everyone vote, etc. I guess it bears worth saying, but you have a habit of almost hogging them so as to take up that mantle.

You are 100% right, I am purposely saying the things that need to be said. I know 9 times out of 10 that I'm going to be the first person to post so I make sure to get the obvious stuff out of the way. There is still someone new to this game here, there is also probably someone who has played before but has never had a good PR before somewhere in here as well (that's me guessing not knowing) so that information is pertinent to someone reading it.
As for RNG voting, meh, whatever, same idea, I am usually the first person posting and this early on, I am a staunch believer that everyone should have a vote out at all time. As the game goes on that becomes bad because of lylo/mylo reasons and scum being able to turbo if the team is big enough. I RNG my first vote because there is nothing to go off of yet, already at this point in the day though, I see no reason for a full RNG vote, some stuff has happened and some people haven't shown up yet, I see no reason why a vote should be used to either point out oddities or prodding someone who has said nothing yet.
That post overall was very good though, I'll give you that.

Thoughts on Darryl vs You: The usual Day 1 "let's randomly give this person a bad time because day 1 is poorly designed with there being no leads" I like my Day 1 to have at least one interesting development to jump-start convos. So far, it's purely RNG.
