I just saw how much exp you get from HQ items and levequests. Everything makes sense now. Everything.

So what I've learnt so far:

Level my pugilist to 30, swap to lancer and get it 15, then a quest appears to take my pugilist to 50 as a monk.

Use mining in conjunction with goldsmithing.

As a DPS class let the tank, tank. Be of assistance and not a aggro stealing hindrance.


Now I just have to wait 72 hours for work to be over and I begin playing again on Monday.

I think you guys need to take a look at this thread to answer your questions... I only have a 60Hz 1080p IPS monitor. (Well, I have a second monitor, but I don't extend them as one, I use them seperately) I play the game in 1080p, I switch to 3840x1620 for a few seconds to snap a quick screenshot at the highest quality I feel I can achieve, then use a program to resample the image back to 1920x810.

You're not the only one. As soon as the redmark disappears I run through the animation while people die around me. Noticeably there's lag on when the redmark first appears so if you constantly move, by the time you can actually see it, it will be a few steps behind.

Pretty much. It's the red aoe that determines whether or not you take damage, not the attack animation itself.

Have to say they probably did try to buy gil because I doubt they're busy visiting fraudulent websites and entering their FFXIV login info.

Still sad to see them lose their account, but hopefully they think twice before trying to buy gil next time.

1. Applying Piercing Resistance then my class DOT with the icon as Disembowel so I know the combo went off:

MMO protip:

Bind your Strafe Left to A and Strafe Right to D. You don't need to keyboard turn when you can hold down the right click of your mouse and do the same turns, way more efficiently.

Am i the only one who rebinds their turn keys (A, D) and keeps their strafe keys for.. strafing? I find it much easier to hit hotkeys while using Q and E to circle strafe as opposed to A and D. Heck I rebind A, D and S on pretty much every MMO I play, no keyboard turning, no backpeddling period, and A, D and S go to important spells, like to use my WoW mage as an example, A = Blink, D = Counterspell and S = Ice Barrier.

I've never seen it give more. I've always considered it just a way to pass the time until another FATE spawned. It's really easy to get gold on it anyway so leaving halfway isn't a big deal.

I don't, but no. People say rebind a and d to strafe just because people are used to wsad movement. Everyone should go the next step and find what key binding system works best for them, like yours for many. Not backpeddling is best, but less of a priority than not keyboard turning.

I'm using a razer nostromo so my thumb handles all movement.

I think it gives less yeah. Probably because there are a lot of mobs that spawn and it's easy to get gold by just tagging a few.

I mostly did it when nothing else was up.
