Im about to give up playing with ransdoms.
they make me not even want to play the game anymore.

Was my first try on Ifirit hard, couldn't say a single word before everyone started it.
then every single one was calling me useless because I wasn't sure what to do.
finally on the second try the other tank told me to focus on eruptions.

I mean it wasn't that hard but I need to know what to do on my first try.

I've been having issues with BLM/THM for the Cancer fate... Has anyone experienced this? Basically, he spawns and I do DOTs and my fire/ice cycles until he dies but I only get about 2k xp.

I also fight cancer as SMN or ACN and often get the 15k or 19k reward so I'm not sure what the deal is.

Should I be fighting the small squid guys instead of the crab or something?

Honestly, just join a fate group if your doing fates in Costa Del Sol area. There's just so many people fate farming that for some of the fates you just won't get gold, or even silver sometimes on them just because the tag system doesn't account for so many people doing them.

At least you weren't told to use Spirits Within to interrupt Eruption, and called not very nice things because the skill is too slow and there's just no time to interrupt.

ifrit HM is kind of a coin toss i've found

i've had groups go in without saying a word with the assumption everyone knows what to do (and sometimes everyone does)

other times we have people ask for who is new

Finally found a reference to how much high level crafting leves give, according to the reddit thread above level 50 crafting leves give ~2K gil, so ~12K a day, which is ~1.5 repairs.

Ultros? no not really. Unless it does it super early in the morning. I end up checking all day usually, every hour or so. Up until 5-6 in the morning usually.

They really just need to make items sellable for more than 1 gil, up the gold from leves (specifically battle leves), and make repairing gear through tradecrafting much cheaper.

If you kill all nails everyone should survive hellfire unless they are very hurt.

This weekend I did Sastasha, Tam-Tara Deepcroft and Copperbell Mines, and then finished with Ifrit!

We died a few times on Ifrit, getting the timing right against the nail, but the runs in the other dungeons were flawless. Fun times!

I think in the next few days I'll try Halitali, and start some new classes in and around Gridania.

The DPSs couldn't handle them even with the LB.
everyone in there knew what to do but it just didn't work out that time.

They need to find better leves then. I was making 1398 gil x 3 (extended craft leves, where you can turn in the reward 3 times for 1 leve). This made me 4194 gil per leve.
Multiply this by 6 and I can create 25164 gil per day.

This is doing a level 20 blacksmith leve. I have a hard time believing that there are no good extended contract leves at cap. I think people just are not looking hard enough.

The people in that thread probably did not do extened contracts (most people don't even know they exist sadly).
Now if there are no better extended contract leves than the ones at lower levels, then we have a problem.

IE a normal leve (one where you turn in only 1 item) gave me about 1/2 the gil of the best extened contract leve I could find (extended gave me 466 while most single turn ins give me around 270ish. This number varies since gold rewards vary wildy even in the same leve range across multiple crafts.... that smith gil reward bias man...) .

Assuming a high level extended gives 2k (Once I travel the world for extended contracts with all crafts maxed I'll know more) x3 thats 36000 gil created daily. Assuming a 6k repair fee thats 6 repairs. Of course when you add in repair fees to do the leves it probably drops a bit (for the love of god don't do crafting leves in end game crafting gear please).

I am playing on PS3 now as the laptop I was using is no longer available.

Dark Matter can only be bought with gold or seals.

Since Ultros is closed off, I had to make a character on another server to be able to play with some friends that decided to get the game and I've been forced to switch the shout channel to Off.
Adding people to the blacklist every time you zone into a city isn't fun, it's pretty damn annoying, especially because this game doesn't have an anti-spam system in place it seems so the damned Goldseller spam the shout channel non-stop! Even grabbing their names to add them to the blacklist is difficult at times.
