Ahh okay; so it's different than 1.0, where you get Job Ability/AF quests every 5 levels, as I remember it?
So there's no level 35 or 40 SCH quests of any sort? I just keep leveling until I hit 45?

Today I started getting whispered by the gold spammers, very annoying. The worst part is there's no immediate block or report function. :/
Shouts are terrible... But SQEX needs to do something about gilseller bots now. Getting a lot in Shout chat and I even get tells now.
I'm a newbie on Sargatanas, and other than all of the GAF FC being at the end of the game, they are still pretty helpful and I haven't had problems finding my level players to do dungeons.
GAF guild on ultros isn't much different. I've already seen Jew jokes, "gay" pejorative use and piracy justification.

Maybe somebody can help me with this. Several times I've tried going into Horizon activate Guildhests, but each time I ask the Battlewarden then I keep getting a message than implies I need to level up.

Yeah. You get 4 pieces at 45, then the last at 50. There's still job quests every 5 levels though.

In 1.0 they took MP for attacks, in ARR they just give you the effects the ability says. Juts looks like the buff icon didn't get fixed.

Should spam them asking about a discount or make up a random selling message about a totally unrelated item.
I saw that one too, but forget who said it. Was messed up since it was in the middle of a fairly normal conversation.
imo the FC could use some free space, a good amount of people in it probably aren't even part of gaf anyway

On another note, cleared sunken temple quite a few times without any deaths but I had one of the most amazing tanks today. Great positioning, great awareness, NEVER once lost aggro (I slept adds throughout), marked and much to my surprise it was a girl playing. She normally plays healers and I would think that fact alone makes her understand and act exactly like you should as a tank.

Everything's cheaper and most of the content is cross-server anyway so you'll be mostly grouping with the same people anyway.
That aside, the game (read: server) has a good low level population.

Yeah I know, I'll probably work on it later (my Archer/Bard gear is so obsolete for endgame content), but right now I want to focus to lvl DRG to 50 and gear it.
At first I didnt really like when they added Bard as a job for Archer, but Im starting to enjoy it
PS3 has some oddities in which monsters don't load for me... =/ But, other than that, it runs great. My hands are just too small to really use the PS3 controller effectively...

I kind of hope they don't wait a year to do the first census. I'd like to see a launch census. Though, hopefully unlike with XI they'll do a race census, which FFXI stopped doing in 2008.

It can't be worse than some of the things I've said to them.
The waking sands has a few quests that will each send you to a quest hub. Not enough to get to 49 but should get you a decent chunk of each level.
Is there a way to report them so they get kicked out of the guild? That seems very unwelcoming.
I actually do wonder this. Nevertheless if there aren't people there then it's an automation that won't care what you say.
Although some of these gil sellers are in via stolen accounts, so I don't think cursing them would be wholly unjustified.

Why does it take so long to "reserve" an instance when you have a full group wanting to run a dungeon? Is it that busy this weekend? D;
My question is, why does the dungeon clock counter still go on when you're looking for a new member after someone leaves.
Don't get me wrong, it's not non-stop. It just sticks out because when I've called people in the guild on it, I've heard "everyone does it" and "stop white knighting"

There are some previews of it on youtube. Despite being against the ToS, these guys play like all day and night nonstop just to be able to sell this stuff. Not that I'm condoning it, but I admire their ethic. They're not as bad as people make them out to be.

I've always assumed they were smart enough to write some software that generates some gibberish alongside their advert, and pastes it into chat at set intervals after they've parked the character in-game?
Doesn't seem likely that someone is sitting there actively spamming chat unless I'm mistaken?
Sounds like officers not enforcing rules and people just being insensitive. In short, the guild needs to be managed better.
I think writing scripts like that would get them banned. I recall this happening in FFXI and I was getting pretty annoyed, but when I asked them to stop they left me alone. I don't appreciate the spam stuff either.
