i recall the notice saying if you switch classes during leves, you might be penalized or something.
Can I not even pay for a server transfer right now? I'm trying to look it up but I can't find anything.

BTW, has anyone heard about that, sort of Bulletin Board system they're planning to implement around 2.1 or 2.2, to augment/supplant the Duty Finder?
i mean if you are lvl 50, do a lvl 15 quest objectives, but turn it in as a lvl 15 conj.
would that work?
For those claiming regular maint as a necessary evil, what other services go down regularly? Does Netflix? Gmail? Etc. We're past the point of disrupting service for regular maint reasons.
A big part of the problem is their total misuse of the work maintenance. What they have been doing is fixing and improving infrastructure. Maintenance is exactly what it's not.

Weekly maintenance is normal [basically required] for MMO's. I believe that the time at which it starts, though, is what's bothering many. For those claiming regular maint as a necessary evil, what other services go down regularly? Does Netflix? Gmail? Etc. It's a same server duty finder.
Should be good.
The JP devs also posted a small .gif of sort working for patch 2.1
Right click an object, hit sort and WHAM.
Everything is categorized into a bag, it's like it's really 1999!
Okay I hate to ask this, but... is this your first MMO?

so how does ff14 RR combat hold up compare to 1.0, 11?
never really dabbled in the other ones, and tbh I only bought this because it was cheap on gmg and i had a few beers.

Man... can't come soon enough...
I'm sure this has been asked a lot but as DPS what should I focus on for my Chocobo, tanking or healing?
so uh where do i fate grind at 10-15
horizon seems really slow with fate spawns
I've read its healing capabilities aren't that great
I've herd Healing isn't that effective, and having it Tank is similar [to doesn't hold Emnity nearly as much as is required, especially considering the "burst" damage of a Black Mage].I'm sure this has been asked a lot but as DPS what should I focus on for my Chocobo, tanking or healing?
Whenever I do Fate's similar to that one there's always that one guy/girl that turns in his/her crates while there's still 13:00 on the clock. Then, of course, the objective is met, and I have no choice but to go and turn mine in.Western La Noscea hands down. There's a FATE that involves turning in crates, but if people are smart - no one will turn in crates for the duration of the quest (15 minutes) since goblins will keep spawning non-stop. 200+ EXP per kill in a group oh GAWD.
Camp Tranquil in the South Shroud. It's called "My Feisty Chocobo", or something like that. I got mine around early 30's, so it should be available to you now.Btw, where do I pick up the quest where I can have my Chocobo start attacking? Level 32 already.
They got rid of the weird combo system between players and added a limit break mechanic which operates in concept similar to WS in FFXI (without the combos).
I don't understand this sentence.
Anyway, it is worth noting that the combat system in the early versions of "1.0" is very different from what we had at the end (1.23).
Alright guys, I haven't played this game since last summer and am feeling the urge to do so right now. However, there's a part of me that wants to wait for the PS4 version for multiple reasons. By the time the PS4 version hits stores, more content will have been added, they'll have tweaked some stuff and server issues will be gone. I'll also be able to play on my television while lying on my bed, and I'll earn trophies by doing so.
That being said, I want to be convinced to start playing now. I have a level 30 Dragoon with the Gobuu mount which, I have been told, will start the story at the beginning again as it has changed. I am eager to play but am unsure if waiting will truly be beneficial. I can always play the PS4 version when it comes out, right ? I guess I could create another character; I can have up to eight, right ? (I am a legacy member).
So, should I wait until next year before playing or should I do so right now ?

He's talking about Regiments.
You didn't have self combos and skills didn't link at all for that matter in early 1.0. You could link attacks with another player in a sense. You'd hit a button that was not explained at all and you'd get a message that said "Readying attack" or something to that degree.
Everyone would queue up an attack GLD hit Heavy Stab, PGL hit Quick Strike, MRD hit etc etc. When the group was done, you could see what they had queued in the corner and someone would hit the button again and everyone would get that Limit Break flash and would perform those attacks in quick succession.
The end result was a debuff or a string of debuffs depending on the attacks used...
It didn't fucking work at all. Like 90% of the time you'd just sit there because with Regiment mode activated, you stopped doing ANY action at all but auto attack.
So if no one actually finished it while it was active, you'd all just sit there getting wailed on.

I'm going purely with DPS. It means I can kill the enemy faster, which results in less of a chance for damage upon myself, and will be applicable to other classes as well as DPS. It's seems to be the more versatile role, in my opinion.
