queuing up for Aurum Vale only for my game to stop functioning and get forced into the the duty finder's withdrawal punishment -_-

why is hitting lvl 50 so horrible?

For GAF members that have entered The Binding Coil of Bahumat, does it cost anything to enter? My FC is almost ready to enter (need a few more titan wins) and someone heard that it cost something to enter. I want to find out how much because people are afraid to go in there and just want to farm AK for mythos if Binding Coil costs anything.

Look at that sexy female elezen in the front.

Edit-- wtf is Rag doing in that pic lol.

He's an airplane.

This picture makes me look fat. :(

Everyone looks fat next to me.

holy shit ultros gaf starts doing coil now? grats!

It costs nothing.

Just the soul crushing grinding and titan fighting. Say hi to the balls for me!

Oh, I mean there's a quick quest to attune but that's it. I think it was like...50 myths for the first boss. I was capped and forget.

My system has been chugging lately, not sure why, and I need advice on whether I should just consider building a new rig or I could upgrade my current rig for it to be decent enough. It's couple years old and I don't expect much of it... the game is still playable but I'd like to know what options I have. I don't play much graphic intensive games so it's ok if it's just solely specced for FFXIV.

I'm using a C2Q Q8400, 4GB DDR2, GTX460, a Corsair SSD, powering 27" and 23" monitors... any thoughts?

lol There are so many dead people near the Malboros in Central Shroud. I'm not having issues with them myself, although I've managed to dodge their breath moves so far. Guess I'll keep doing that.

Yeah I was fighting a boss for a FATE there and some turd white Mage refused to heal me, waited for me to die and then finished the boss mob I had tanked for him until 2% HP. So I helped him out by bringing some Marlboros while he was hunting near them and got him bad breathed a few times. He died at least once.

Fucker.

A big thanks to Sosul, Remiel and Renault for taking me through my first AK.
I messed up a bit too much on the first and last boss (on the first boss I even got a string of 90k disconnects that wouldn't let me get back in) but it was fun. Hopefully I won't mess up anymore when I'll go back there XD.

That Level 30 Lancer's Guild fight was fun. I didn't bring hipotions and had 3 normal potions on me, I had to play very tactful but ended up winning on my first try.

from Yoshida's TGS interview (focusing on PS4 parts):

-PS3 -> PS4 migration system means that once you move your account to PS4, you won't be able to play it on PS3 again (unless you migrate it back which I am not sure you can or not)

-PS4 beta will last about 1 month.

-the PS3 players who own PS4 will all be able to participate on PS4 beta.

-PS4 beta will be a separate server where you start from lvl 1 for about 2 weeks to test out the server, and after that you will be able to use your old character.

-PS4 version is 1080P, will be almost on par with PC full spec.

-the PS4 beta, which starts in PS4 release date in Japan (2/22/14) is same for other parts of the world. So US and EU players will also be able to start PS4 beta version on 2/22/14

Tanked Stone Vigil yesterday. Had a great pug squad: a healer who knew the dungeon, a bit overzealous archer (aren't they all) and a silent monk who performed well. One shot every boss!

However, the lag that just seemed to get worse during the dungeon was not fun. At some point it just became impossible to dodge ANY sort of aoe attacks. I hope they fix that soon, the game is not lag-friendly at all, so to say.

Have they mentioned KB/M support for gameplay on PS4? Wouldn't mind playing on PS4 if so, since I'll have it hooked up to a 50" 1080p LED display.

Yes Yoshida mentioned you can use KB/M for PS4.
The interviewer asked if

this would work and Yoshida said probably. but I don't think he is sure about it.

Did him last night i tanked him in middle of the room only people needing to run about were dps killing adds as and when.

yes taht's what i normally do but i've run into more than one group who stick to the tank kiting around king tonberry thing saying it's much quicker but everytime it fails so now i sigh whenever i get into a group who suggests kiting

I just finished up my first end-game, grind marathon. (11 Prae runs in 6 hours followed by a super-quick WP)

Currently re-evaluating my life choices... :P

I did get two more pieces of DL and the DL Bow in Wanderer's Palace though; I guess that's something?

Also, for any DPS guys that pull Tonberry duty during the last boss: Set the King as your Focus Target! (<--Shift+F by default, I think)

The entire fight is so much easier when you don't have to mentally keep track of the count and resets.

Where is King Tonberry? I need my revenge for FF VIII.

Wanderer's Palace, a level 50 Dungeon

If you're a tank, enjoy Everyone's Grudge, LOL
Last phase 3K+ Damage... OW!

The intro is so awesome for WP, I always watch it hoping that Tonberry escapes those vile treasure hunting adventurers
Awesome waddle running away, poor guy

Also, FUCK YOU STALKERS! , if you don't know, you'll soon find out

The Wanderer's Palace is a level 50 dungeon located in the Upper La Noscea area. It is unlocked by speaking to Allene in Vesper Bay, located in Western Thanalan and is not part of the main story line.

Thanks, I was wondering about those 2 quests in Vesper that I couldn't accept yet.

Yes, but a few of us here recommend the Logitech G600 mouse instead.

What about the G600 vs the Razer Naga? I know nothing about MMO mice, but I'm looking to go for a setup like:

Left Hand: Razer Orbweaver
Right Hand: Razer Naga (or whatever the equivalent best peripherals are for each hand)

i use a naga atm

you only get 6 buttons on the side so i think it's a matter of how many buttons you need. i do feel 6 is a little limited tbh and if i had a choice i'd go with that logitech

specs are a tad on the low side but decent enough. you keep your pc internals nice and clean? a good dust cleaning can make a world of difference sometimes.

That's odd, all the Nagas I see advertised have 12.

I've researched Razer and the consensus among PC enthusiasts seems to be that Razer makes products with terrible quality.
