It's roughly 5.5m on my server, so i'd be at 8m, not counting 1-2m in already-crafted stuff and 1-2m in stacks of gold\crawler\spruce\darksteel, both refined or not.

Ohwell, goldsellers are all about liquid gil, it's probably only about it. I'll make a point of staying under 3-4m.

(I bought Potash at 20k, and it spiked to 60.. i don't know if i should be happy or sad about this, considering i'd like even more of the damn thing)

If one is scared of market fluctuation and still wants liquidity, they could buy those coin things from the quests.

A wise gil seller would stockpile those.

The problem with their method of determining the average level is they include all classes.

So let's say someone decides to level one class to 50. Well, in order to get their job they have to level another class to 15. This would mean that for one person with a level 50 job - their level to S-E is 32.5 I'd really be interested in seeing census statistics that don't include 'every' class someone has leveled.

Pretty sure SE's rational is simply freezing accounts with what they believe to be inordinate amounts of money. It has nothing to do with "tainted" money or GS'ers/GB'ers buying your goods, that sounds like some bullshit people have made up to paint SE the villain and cast the whole situation in an air of ridiculousness. Obviously it's unfair to "legitimate" players (though anyone with 10+ million has certainly done their fair share of exploiting, legal or otherwise) and likely overkill, but it's nice to see they're serious about stopping it.

Yeah, keeping all Gil liquid and freaking mailing every customer their order seems pretty ridiculous if you are concerned with bans.

There is an obvious paper trail to you and your customers. Definitely not a viable long term solution.

I would expect more face-to-face trading in the next wave.

Not only that, but one would assume you would use a less conspicuous name than EZ PAY.
 
Gonna be a lot of pissed off people especially legacy players who have well over that. It's abit ridiculous to do this to paying customers and all because Square Enix has no idea how to deal with the RMT just like they had no idea how to in 1.0.

Banning people because of the Gil they have yet the same bots have been farming away in the same spots for weeks. They honestly need to ban these people and all accounts and characters associated with said account. They need reps running around the world catching and banning these people which isn't hard because they are right in the open.

Apparently it's only happening on non-legacy servers, must be far easier to nail the outliers when there isn't a ton of legacy gil floating around.
 
Banning legitimate customers just because they have a lot of Gil is mental. When theyre found "innocent" will they be getting a credit for the three days of their subscription that was wasted? I cant imagine so. Ive fifty plus people in my blacklist, not one of them has been deleted. Its a lot easier to catch them then it is to ban people who know how to work the market

Yeah, there's a whole thread on Reddit about it. People are pretty upset about it apprently because they're sabotaging pug runs to sell carries to desperate players.
 
Selling Titan runs isn't really the thing that's kinda gross, it's the people sabotaging runs so that people get desperate enough to pay a lot for a Titan run that's icky.

Yeah, selling Titan is legit.

Sabotaging to create a market for yourself is a real dick move. They purposely join to stack plumes and/or die to make sure they don't finish.
 
it's not that it's 'icky', it's how worthwhile it is.

1) need 5-6 other people who can do titan on at the same time while...
2) standing around trying to find someone willing to pay who...
3) has incentives to not go to one of the already established titan sellers which means...
4) you'll probably have to undercut them while being able to provide a one shot kill...
5) which will probably yield about 20k per person

Yeah this, its not selling the runs that's whats got people on ultros up in arms. It's the FC's going into pugs for titan and purposely ruining the run so people will get "desperate" and pay for a run. Slimy practice(and rather pointless, you're not gonna pull much more clientele this way) indeed. It's just simply not worth the trouble for a couple extra sells. Lol

No, it's definitely icky. Can't say I give a crap how much profit they're making. Sabotaging runs is disgusting.

I need to start back this weekend.

Oh, people sabatoging and selling Titan runs huh? Virtual economies for the win!

I was really wanting to opt out of the AH after being rich in WoW and not wanting to fool with the BS anymore, but having no income at 50 makes that idea hard.
 
I have no intention of paying for a goddamned Titan HM run, so I hope this isn't as much of an issue in 10 levels.

Besides, I can always get four of you guys to help my team out, right?

If that's for real, it's sounds like SE needs to be combing some people's chat logs and handing out perma bans accordingly. Probably need to bring this to the attention of GM's.

I'm not sure it would matter. If its anything like modern day WoW then the paper trail is there no matter what you do in game.

Titan was a difficult fight, but now it feels like getting anyone to go to CM or AK so I can get the tomes to finish the relic quest is even more difficult.

I'll second that. I am in the range where most my crafts/gathering are 28-34 and I'm about to start my runs to 50 DoL/DoH/BRD. Give it a few more weeks and I'll run all the CM you want

Dunno about the environments, but the character models have clearly taken a hit going from 1.0 > 2.0. And yeah, it(along with other things such as zoning) was due to the PS3 version

I can never find enough people, even in the FC. Guess I'm just on at the wrong times

Accessories definitely for me, because: 1) Good accessories are harder to come by 2) They are cheaper, so you'll upgrade faster 3) AK has 5 chests, 4 of them drop armor pieces, so it's easier to gear your armor slots.

Also, I'm not really a fan of DL body for tanks and mages. I'll probably just buy AF2 body for my scholar once I hit 50.

I have a question since you are a healer as well.

I'm at level 40 now and I have a crapload of spells now and I was wondering what's the best way to set up my cross bar on PS3?
