The action scenes alone make Spider-Man 3 good in my books. It's one of the only superhero movies that makes me think "yes, if these superheroes were real this is exactly how they would use their powers in a fight."

I don't think Spider-Man 3 is completely without merit at all. One of the better things about it are the action scenes. There are like a handful of moments of just wince-inducing hard hits.

People are on the fence about whether it'll happen or not. Some are saying it's obvious, some are saying it's so obvious they have to be faking the fans out.

I'm on team "it's gonna happen." She's wearing the outfit, a bunch of promotional materials have had that cover. I personally can't wait to see if they keep it as brutal as it seemed in the comic, and how the casual audience will react.

I know my sister wants to see this movie where she normally would have no interest because A) she liked the first one, and B) she wants to see "the event"

Twitter reactions were, right now as it stands ASM2 has way more positives than negative reactions as well, should land around the same spot as ASM1 on Rottentomatoes. ASM1 actually started off at about a 94% on that site then went way down as it went on.

The thing is, all the electricity Webb needs is right before him, in the continued perfect match of his leads. Andrew Garfield's killer timing is the least of his ideal Spidey qualities – he remains a rare combination of funny, sexy and awkwardly charming, nailing every part of Peter Parker's clear agenda to be the coolest superhero ever. He could hardly do better than Emma Stone as his dream soulmate – she's button-cute and smart enough to steal his heart. They light the film up with a sparkle and sadness it couldn't live without.

this movie is going to make my son cry.
