Well, after much contemplation for the past week, I decided that it was time to treat myself to a big gift. I knew that I'd eventually get an XBOX, but I just wasn't sure when. After finanicl circumstances changed to where I wouldn't be going to Cali, I figured it was time for Plan B.
I picked one up Friday after work at my local GameCrazy, and promised myself that I wouldn't open it until Saturday night, since I'm off Sunday. 9:00 pm rolled around and so it was time to fire up the Green Machine. I lead off the night with Panzer Dragoon Orta (another promise to myself), followed by the Outrun 2 demo disc.
After about an hour or so of playing, I called it quits and continued this morning with more PDO action, followed by Max Payne 2. I always prefered MP2's main character design more than MP1's. He has that 90s Al Pacino worn look that used to be a Hollywood staple back in the day.
At this point it dawnwd on me how much the X Box is the spiritual little brother to Sega's Dreamcast (which I own). both systems have a vibrant picture quality about them, and just feel so smooth to me. There's other games still waiting in the wings, but I don't want to rush things. I'm an artistic, visual person, so I like to savor graphic design before moving on.
And don't worry fellow Nintendites; the little black Cube is still close at hand
