Is there a way to make firefox display download progress as a bar oer my downloads stack in OS X?

It is one feature of Safari I wish this had

Okay, so I'm using Firefox 3 for Mac. The first big thing is that they weren't kidding when they said visual integration into the OSX GUI. The new GUI looks fantastic.

Scrolling is also smoother, and the browser in general is super fast. I've only used it for a few minutes, though, so I'll try to post extended impressions later.

EDIT: I also really love the new bookmark star feature. Very cool.

The pages displayed are ranked on frequency of visits, the most recent visits and whether they are bookmarked. Since you don't have any built up history, it will just display your bookmarks, but it does not necessarily show them after a while depending on what you type.

Exactly. I've been playing with the beta for a few months now and at first the AB was annoying and foreign in behavior, especially with the 2-line URLs it displays. But after a few days of use it becomes obvious why it's one of the star features.

Should I switch from Opera or not? I'm serious.
I just tried the new Firefox, there are so many extentions needed to make it work like Opera :lol

Still searching for the extensions...might take a while.

Why don't you use it and decide for yourself?

Keep doing it. After a few visits, it'll learn that you go to NeoGAF often and that you want to go there when you type n.

It will start to bring up neogaf more after using it.

I prefer to use the Grapple themes which make it look pretty much exactly like Safari.

Not really seeing many differences between this and RC3, but that's to be expected I suppose. Definitely prefer FF3 to Safari at this point on the Mac.

Seriously. I thought i'd opened Safari for a second. Very similar layout.

Downloaded it, but can't get over the blurryness compared to Safari. I really want to use it too :(

Is there any known fix for this?

This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.
Downloaded it for Windows (at work); some of the little changes are appreciated, but the default theme is hideous.

Downloaded it for OS X at home, and... much better. The new GUI is SO sleek.

If you're on OS X I'd recommend these themes for full integration.

Ugh. I hate when I have to get a new theme. Went with Compact and got the Compact Options add-on.

MUCH better. All my bookmarks fit on the toolbar again.

He's a pretty swell guy in my books anyway.
Been using FF3 for a while now on my laptop but today I upgraded all my home computers because I can't live without the awesome bar anymore, it's that awesome.

Wow, the last time I checked, US had ~2400 downloads a minute. Now it's more than 3 times as much (~7700).

Now it´s almost 11k/min O_O

More than 3.4M already holy shit. It´ll beat the 4M mark, great!

Love Firefox!

Anybody having problems with themes? I was using the beta earlier, and never had trouble with that. I'm trying out the default theme right now, and it's pretty much all blacked out.

:lol

I didn't notice the back button was missing for a while, I kept hitting the refresh button instead and wondering why nothing was happening

Ah phoey, the US is now 2nd in downloads per minute to Germany. Ah well, it is daytime over there now, and people at starting to go to bed now here.
