I was running Twentyten (not compatible) and removed it but its still not there. The new skin actually looks a lot like twentyten with the orange tab in the corner and everything, its like they stole it.
So anyway how do I get it back? I dont even know what site I'm on right now, is this GAF??
Fucking christ it's like looking through a mirror.PjotrStroganov said:This is what you look like right now.

Already addressed.GavinGT said:Firefox 4 is a damn mess when it comes to my browsing habits. I can't customize the toolbar the way I want, as they've gotten rid of the option to add certain buttons ("New Tab", "Stop", "Reload"). I managed to get the Reload button back on the left where I want it, but it refuses to show the Reload and Stop buttons simultaneously, as the Reload button becomes the Stop buton while a page is loading. This is infuriating for me, as I don't want to wait until a page is loaded before being able to hit Reload.
You can put the "New Tab" button there, but you can only have one at a time. If you want it on more places, you'll have to find an extension; dunno about any.GavinGT said:I also like to have a "New Tab" button on my navigation bar, but they got rid of that for whatever reason.
If you'd rather left-click in order to skip back multiple pages, you can try one of these extensions: 1, 2.GavinGT said:Also, I don't like how I have to right-click the Back button in order to skip back multiple pages.

If you choose now to be (or were already before) on the Beta channel, you'll always be updated to the Beta version of Firefox from now on, instead of the release version.
But you can change that at any time:
There aren't many changes, so both extensions will probably work if you just disable the compatibility check (go to "about:config" and right-click to add new Boolean: "extensions.checkCompatibility.5.0" = false). Or you can wait for them to be updated.dejay said:Yeah, I didn't realise that I was still signed up to the beta, since the last beta turned into the final product.
So I'm now on 5.0 beta - and my Download Statusbar and Tineye plugins don't work
Still, I'll stick with the beta for the moment, although I don't know what's meant to be different.

Do you have a screen shot?Combichristoffersen said:Anyone else on FF 4.0.1 having trouble with the URL/image/quote/etc. buttons when posting? They are completely broken for me, and FF seems to register them only as images :|
Mouse gestures are quite handy. My favorite move is to press and hold the right mouse button then the left mouse button to go back, and the opposite to go forward.Mister_Bubbles said:This is awesome. I feel like a wizard ¬_¬
No need for an addon, just right click the toolbar and check "Menu Bar" and it'll give you the File, Edit, etc plus the title bar.Sober said:Just curious, because I installed 4.0 on my laptop but I'm not particularly liking it, so I stuck with 3.6 on my desktop. Have they changed it, or are there extensions that allow me to keep the title bar (not really a fan of the Chrome style with tabs there; I know I can move those) while getting rid of the menu bar, because the new version refuses to let me do that (things like file, edit, etc -- since I can bring it up by pressing Alt)? Because I haven't found a proper solution to FF4.0 yet.

I go to options, then advanced and uncheck use hardware acceleration, should fix it.LQX said:Is FIREFOX 4 suppose to change how the text looks? Just upgraded and now my text looks a bit smaller and and blurry. Something is definitely off.

when is ff gonna get rid of the unnecessary search bar and integrate it into the address bar like everything else?
Do you mean the BBCode buttons? You probably have JavaScript disabled.Combichristoffersen said:They look perfectly normal, but nothing happens when I try to click them. They work fine in Google Chrome, but seem to be borked in FF 4.0.1, for some reason
You can also install the Compatibility Reporter. It should make them all available.dejay said:Worked like a charm - thanks!

There are custom gestures on the site that let you jump to the top or bottom of a page. There's no going back after that.Mister_Bubbles said:This is awesome. I feel like a wizard ¬_¬
You probably accidentally hit F7 which turned on caret browsing. Hit F7 again to turn it off.Oyashiro said:Hey guys, I'm running the latest stable Firefox on OSX and I've come across two random weird things yesterday. First of all, for some reason, whenever I click somewhere on a page, a blinking line will appear (like when you click somewhere where you can type.) Ex: http://cl.ly/6ycC It happens no matter where I click.
Also, I usually use Command + up or down arrow to navigate to the top or bottom of a page. However, as of yesterday, when I do command up it goes up, but it also goes up when I hit command down. What gives?
Might be a different key on Mac then. Try this:Oyashiro said:Unfortunately, that did not fix anything.
Oh and as Long Island Nurse points out, pressing F7 isn't the only way. You can also type in "about:config" in the address bar and then type in "caret" in the filter box and simply double click to change the option from "true" (which means turn on caret browsing) to "false" (which means turn off caret browsing). Thanks Long Island Nurse!
I have exactly the same problem, its a pain in the ass when clicking a search bar, sometimes i just click the outline of it :/Oyashiro said:Hey guys, I'm running the latest stable Firefox on OSX and I've come across two random weird things yesterday. You can always take a look at the Error Console.Combichristoffersen said:The BBCode buttons, yeah. It's not JavaScript though, just checked and it's enabled.
