I'm disappointed that this game has (apparently) a not perfect framerate. Not because I care much about framerates, but because people WON'T STOP FUCKING WHINING ABOUT IT.
I honestly do not understand the mentality of the modern gamer, at all.
I guess it comes from being part of the NES & SNES generation.
We don't see imperfections; we see potential glitches and exploits.
Well, port begging isn't allowed and the game is good, gotta find something to trash.

This really puts things into context. When Nintendogs got 40/40 it still meant something big and it lead to a GAF moderator having a meltdown, going on a rampage and editing every thread title to be about Nintendogs.

They've started giving out perfect scores a lot more liberally in recent generations. And in my opinion, there are typically only 4-5 games per generation that I would consider perfect. So let's just say their bar is lower.

Sadly. As soon as I saw that DF thread I knew that was what some people were going to latch on to no matter how minor of an issue that was found. Some people have not gotten over, and will not, this game being announced as a Wii U only game. They can't beg for the game or they'll be banned so they'll trash it as much as they can while trying to put on the appearance of not being childish about it. So any imperfection will be blown up to seem bigger then it is or spotlighted when it normally wouldn't matter. Some I suspect will just go crazy once the game is actually out.

FF XIII got 10/9/10/10.
So it's a better game than Bayonetta, but not a 40.
Edit: Actually, quite a few of these games in this list are 39/40, not 40/40. Naruto, Wonderful 101, etc.

Spot on. It will continue for the review thread, the expected Japanese bomba thread (my bet is on a Psycho) and the OT for the first couple of days. Hopefully after that the air will become more breathable and we can talk about the game itself.
