It's been pitched as a closer to source Material Anime from the start.
It's why I'm not interested in it. I love the Sailor Moon Anime and how they took things and did their own thing (the relationship between Rei and Usa being the big one) so when combined with the fact I don't like Remakes I've sadly been ready to sit this one out since the start.

I watched sailor moon as a kid and I gave zero fucks if anyone judged me. Great stuff. Great theme too! I liked tuxedo mask, I wished I was that slick. And dat sailor jupiter.

I don't know about opening theme but it needs to be part of the soundtrack somehow. It's so universal (I'm pretty sure every language's dub retained it in some form or another.)
This is the most important question.
Everyone needs to realize that Mars is the best sailor scout.

Terrible design. I hated the manga design too. The original anime series had a great design. For the new show I was hoping more for something like this:
It would have fit so perfect to the show and overall feel. Also they should have ditched the whole magic thing and just concentrate on Usagi being moe and Rei being hot as hell etc.

Can't wait. Watching Sailor Moon as a child was the first time I had to defend my Japanese animes and heterosexuality at the same time. Damn homophobic Oregon.

Haha I know the feeling about Oregon. I remember tearing up when Rei and the others went to fight Beryl with Usa, so sad. Being a straight male with friends over and watching it made for an awkward experience.
Can't agree on that K-On stuff. The manga looks ugly compared to the Anime look, but a great deal better then the K-On nonsense. Just Ewwww.

Don't do what? Last year I was watching some random episodes on youtube and honestly if you cut out the fighting part, you have pretty much K-on with a few long ass dudes wandering around and babbling nonsense. Just cut out of an epsiode everything supernatural and you have a slice of life show.
Sailor Moon was K-On of the 90s. Like it or not. Therefore the K-On artstyle, which is fantastic btw, would fit perfect to the show. As you can see, the whole fact that I can insert Sailor Moon + K-On in google and getting dozens of results leads to the conclusion that I wasn't the only one expecting a more moe approach.

Personally I say cut out the slice of life and just stick to the fighting, maybe adopt a more fitting character design to reflect this approach:
K-On Sailor Moon looks cute, not gonna lie. Looking forward to the new anime.
