This ad is for Japan? If anything the vibe I got from this ad is very anti-Japan. It basically says that we have the world so fuck you Japan get on board or get out.
In this thread everyone is an expert on Japanese culture and Sony just shot themselves in the foot.
Sure, when we're talking about millions and millions of people, there are always expections on one side or the other, but i was thinking about how things are in general. I fully agree that this commercial isnt very typical japanese, but i dont think that many people in Japan will be pissed because of that (as in the commercial being equivalent of a middle finger, that is what i was refering to when i mentioned hate). There are Japanese who like western culture just as there are westerners who like Japanese culture but lets not kid ourselves that there isn't xenophobia on both sides.
Granted younger generations are a lot more tolerant because they don't have the same experiences as their parents/grandparents lived through, but some of that will be passed on, this is the case all over the world regardless of culture/nationality.
This is totally off topic though, I never implied hate anyway.
The name of the song is god-damn impossible to find.
Soundhound and Shazam know nothing, the lyrics tell me nothing, it's strange.
It goes straight up club-banger at the end, wish I could keep it going. Could it be a custom song made for this commercial or something?
I tried googling the lyrics from the song, shazam and soundhound, too.
Nothing.
I want this song! GAF detectives, where art thou?
Thanks! My Japanese really needs some practicing. The world will become one through play.
