That's the equivalent of Rockstar announcing GTA:SA and GS putting up a page for Xbox and posting it on the front page 6 months before the PS2 version comes out. Only difference would be Xbox is getting GTA:SA.

were there any early renders for this generation of systems that havnt been achieved yet. i think resident evil 4, metal gear 3 and chronicles of riddick have lived up to all expectations for this gens graphics, excluding the toy story comment

you you xbox fanboys are borderline paranoid. As much as you dont want it to be, PS3 is a much bigger deal than fringe consoles like Revolution and Xbox 360.

It seems that way. But since noone has an official release date, anything goes, I guess. I mean, MS even are still being tight lipped about their release window. It's always the grapevine that we hear about these launch date details.
I also don't even think we know anything substantial about XBox 2 at this point. Almost nothing about it's hardware is officially confirmed. I could comfortably say that I know about the same what will go into PS3 as I know about Xbox 2 hardware for example.
Of course. The pre-rendered pictures/footage of some games has not been achieved. I remeber the Gamecube Metroid footage as well as that nature demo. Also at least one screen of RRV comes to mind, which was obviously pre-rendered.
Umm...yeah, any word on the renders/screens? I'm sure you was aware the pics were renders rather than in-game, why just not tell us? We are GAF we deserve better :lol umm, why on earth should gamespot advertise this (the footage that is) as x360? Just because the game is called M. 2006? What a joke. If the images were rendered on x360 dev kits then you guys would have a point. As it is, they are simply RENDERSSSSSS of what EA claims NEXT GEN (NOT only XBOX 360) madden games will look like. get over it.

So freakin what? If people want to see pictures of madden 06, they should go over n check out the xbox/ps2 sections of the site. As it stands, there is NO OFFICIAL release date stating that madden o6 will hit x360 from EA. And again, who cares, you want gamespot to give hype for xbox 360 for RENDERS pumped out by EA? lol
That label is the only problem with the Gamespot story, and I don't see how it makes the site biased. EA has only said the commercial represents what a next generation Madden game will look like, so the commercial is valid for both the X360 and the PS3 whether its the '06 or '07 version.Society said:

They did make a demo that looked almost exactly like the original but in real time... but it was never released because the project was canned. And it's the one you evidently did not see.

Of course they are renders. None of the GPUs are done, are they? AFAIK, all dev kits are still incomplete. Well...put 2 and 2 together and you understand why they can't show realtime shots. But I ask again, why would EA need to release renders? They are the only game in town. The models look the same to me in all those shots. The one with Strahan on top of McNabb has temporal blur on his arm, but we've seen temporal blur in this gen. It was a cheap framebuffer hack this gen, which didn't look very convincing. I assume they'll be able to do a better job with it this gen. I'm not saying that shot is realtime, but it's such a marginal difference from that shot to the others that what's the point of harping on it over and over? I can't be the only person that remembers the same thing happening with the first shots of Madden 01. PEACE.
