From what I can read, the major things

- PSP connectivity
- The combat and freedom of Way of Samurai
- The stealth kills of Tenchu
- Characters : Karasu nogou, secret kunoichi
- Destructurable structures that can be taken advantage of in battles
- Something like the wall running in Ninja Gaiden/Shinobi/Kunoichi
- Has a map construction mode

Acquire has nothing to do with K2. K2 is almost exclusively ex-Squaresoft and SNK staff that was established for the purpose of developing Tenchu 3 for Activision Japan.

As you might recall, Activision acquired (no pun intended) worldwide Tenchu IP rights from Sony Music Japan, effectively leaving Acquire out in the cold on future Tenchu development.

Acquire's new ninja game is essentially a form of revenge.

Of course, the revenge didn't go quite as planned since basically everybody ignored the Way of The Samurai games.

Yup. Noriyuki Asakura is composing the soundtrack. Unfortunately Acquire is a few steps behind K2 on several fronts.

Personally I thing this game looks fun.
And with branching elements like way of the samarai it will kill Tenchu!
Tenchu sticks to the same formula and it needs a change.
