I like the way Adol is. No need to westernize itbelgurdo said:Maybe if they de-chibify the characters ala Ark of Naphistim

But Konami would have to through two companies for that Collection (one of which went bankrupt last year). :/NotMSRP said:Konami will need Ys 1-5 in a package to get through SCEA.
cvkpaladin said:Ys Books 1 and 2 are my favs in the series. 3 was pretty good as well, but switched the direction from a top-down view to a side-scrolling view. I played these on the TG-16. Never played 4 and 5. Played 6 on the PC and thought it was also very enjoyable with some pretty nifty effects. Some of the boss fights were pretty amazing. I forget, does Ys 3 feature the classic method of dealing damage by running into the badguy or do you actually to strike the enemy with your sword?
The PCE Ys IV was developed by Hudson (just like the PCE YS I-III). Falcom was actually working on the MegaDrive/CD version but that one was canceled. Each of the three versions (SFC, PCE & MD) were said to be different though, and Mask of the Sun was the official subtitle according to Nihon Falcom.lordmrw said:You actually strike enemies with your sword. There are two versions of Ys 4. The Snes version, called Mask of the Sun, as developed by Tonkin House. There's a translation patch available for it. The TG-16 one, Dawn of Ys, was developed by Falcom, and released for the Cd. Ys 5 came out late in the snes's life Same top down perspective, and you swing your sword to attack like 3.
