He had moments of realness but the vast majority of his posts were over the top. His egotistical shtick got nauseating after a few minutes. I think he might be a good dude but just the fact that I don't know says something.I want to say that he is more posting with a gimmick in mind but I know where you are coming from. It got real annoying, real fast.
lol
at least have a better body than that!
Never! But I did post a shirtless selfie the day of the SCOTUS gay marriage ruling.Wait, you guys DON'T paint your belly and post it on social media in response to tragic events?
Jason's Ultimatum
Lol, who was that?
Could be the same guy. Not many people would look at a tragic act of terrorism and think, "OOH! A shirtless selfie opportunity has presented itself!"

It's odd, aside from their involvement in some of the compound stuff I do, I never really do bicep work. I feel like I'm the anti-bro. Strange thing is, compared to most of my body my arms look pretty good.
"Yo you know what paris needs rn bro? my abs bro"
If I was still on Facebook, I'd bet my feed would be full of shit like that. It's pretty sad.
That just means the rest of you looks that bad if your arms look good.
1. I guess it would depend on what you define "in shape" as. Training distance running is for getting better at distance running, and for looking like your upper body was rescued from a year on a deserted island a few days ago.So GAF, here's my situation. I used to run cross country in high school, was really fit and was doing 60 to 70 miles a week. For the five years since I've been very inactive running or exercising in general. And now, naturally, I'm out of shape. And it bothers me, not the way it look but moreso the way I feel. So there's 2 points of interest is like to bring up.
1. Would simply resuming workouts consisting purely of stretching, distance running, and sit ups/push ups be a good way to get back into shape? Most articles I read don't suggest it, though I have a particular comfort with such workouts and have never really touched weights for serious work outs. Granted I understand the work out program I was on in school was geared towards training for races, not for getting in shape.
2. I have a really hard time with diet. I like all foods and could easily motivate myself to a diet, but the problem is I'm a bafoon at the grocery store, incredibly lazy in the kitchen, and my work often requires I travel out of town during the week days (rarely over night, a typical day would be travel 4 hours, do field work for 1 or 2 hours, travel home). So really my attempts at diets have been frozen food meals marked "lean" or "healthy" and ordering something off the "healthy" menu from fast food chains. Any suggestions on easy to prepare meals, good places to stop on the road, or perhaps meals I can pack and keep refrigerated for hours?
Much thanks for any help!

Hey guys, long time no see. Formerly, Highluxury here.
I hit snap city two days ago.
I had a long pause from lifting, some things I had to process, got back into lifting and performed a deadlift poorly. Felt an, almost, instantanous intense painful sensation on my lower back. It was terrible. Could barely lean over or sit for a while.
Thankfully, a certified physiotherapist was nearby. He gave some advice on how to handle the injury. Even though its been a few days, I still feel stinging around my lumbar when I try to sit-up right, It hurts. for the time being, I'm out of commision.
What are you guys at calorie wise? Reading the last few pages and I see a lot of 2000 and below. I used a calculator and it put me at around 2700 for cutting. I train pretty hard and pretty often but I was shocked to see everyone else so low.

I'm at 1600 for 2 days after a cheat day. 1800 the next 2 days and 2000 until my cheat day. Keep in mind my cheat days typically fall around 10k.
I'm bulking on less than that. Stupid tiny body. lolI used a calculator and it put me at around 2700 for cutting. I train pretty hard and pretty often but I was shocked to see everyone else so low.
I'm 5'9, 170 and myfitnesspal says my maintenance is net 3000+ calories...which is so damn high. I'm eating that much, to gain.

It's not uncommon for me to have:Jesus, son.

It's not uncommon for me to have:
1 large pizza
2 or 3 pints of ice cream
6-8 doughnuts
A loaf of french bread
Various other small things
Some days it's 8000ish though. Just depends on how I'm feeling.

I can't find the decent article that was posted here recently, but this gives a pretty good overview: http://greatist.com/health/cheat-days-explainedWhat's the advantages to a cheat day if it's stuff like ice cream etc? For healing? Surely the calories are just 'empty ' when it's all sugar?
Genuine question btw I'm not being a dick

No. I don't have a weekly number I try to hit. The low numbers leading up to my cheat day was determined by trial and error. By being strict leading up to my next cheat day I end up at an acceptable weight/bf% every week. I usually have 1 or 2 solid days where I'm pretty shredded before I go to bloat city on my cheat day. What's the philosophy behind your cheat days? Do you count your average calories per week and try to keep them consistent?
bringing the lighting and abs
Good day at the gym. Squats with 3x260, 3x295 and 3x335. Ended with a 10x240. Feel really good right now. While changing, could see abs so clearly. Mentally I'm on another level. 2015 has been insanely good to me.

Good stuff. I'm in such a mental rut right now with gym and uni. Combination of recent illness and stress and studies has just fucked my shit up.
Chest and bis day! And speaking of cheat days and biceps... Here's a post cheat gain pic.
