Foods you love that others might find disgusting

It's only 8:30am, but right now, I have a fierce craving for my ultimate comfort food:

2 boxes of Annie's Shells & Real Aged Cheddar (basically, top tier shells & cheese)
1 can of Wild Planet Albacore Tuna (basically, the filet mignon of canned tuna)

Mix that shit up, put it in a bowl, and gimme a big spoon. 😌

But when I explain it to others, I get:

What foods do you like that others find gross?

I like Biscuits and Chocolate Gravy. A lot of people that are not southern do not like them, my parents did not like them.

Pickles.

All pickled vegetables in general but I even make my own pickled cucumbers. And not just in one way but recipes from different countries. I can eat Polish pickles like the common plebeian eat chips.

Same goes for Sauerkraut btw. And kimchi, but that one is more commonly enjoyed.

For the last 10 years or so I've been one of those "green juice" guys. Not really bad in itself, but definitely an acquired taste. Mixing some or all up in my Ninja every morning instead of a cup of coffee has been great. Usually it's kale, spinach, carrots, cucumbers, and a banana for the base, then I'll mix in some frozen berries (usually blueberry or raspberry, ,but sometimes I'll get crazy with a tropical blend or something different), maybe an apple, pear, peach, maybe parsley or greens. Really depends what's in season. Just don't want too much fruit for sugar reasons.

Also love to eat solid white albacore (in water) out of the can.

I add tuna to a regulat box of mac and cheese. I add extra milk and butter and some onion salt. Awesome. Hamburger Helper makes Tuna Helper which is basically the same.

My man. Every day, sometimes twice a day (in fact, will right after I finish typing this), I Ninja up a broccoli, spinach, almond milk, banana, blueberry, raspberry, carrot, celery, honey, matcha smoothie.

This is probably more disgusting to most than my macaroni & tuna bit, but I'll say this much: I had a persistent skin blotch about the size of a dime that was getting quite concerning over the course of almost a year. After three weeks of drinking these, it went away completely, and hasn't returned.

My dad would make Peanut Butter, Mayo and Dill Pickle sandwiches. I make them to this day (actually have one in my lunch today, Don't knock it until you tried it.

Apparently Mayo and PB sandwiches were a think in the 40's and 50's. PB was dryer than it is now so people would add mayo to make it creamier.

The PB adds the sweet, The mayo adds the creaminess and the pickles add the tang. It's REALLY good. I just use about 10 dill pickle slices and put the on a paper towel so they aren't dripping then lay them on the mayo side.

I'm having a similar psychological reaction to this as I might when contemplating licking a frozen pole. I really want to try it, but I'm really afraid I'll regret it...

Chicken gizzards. Don't have to be cooked fancy or nothing (though my wife said there's a place up the road that fries them -- definitely wanna try that out soon).

The prieta, which is the local type of Blood Sausage (similar to the British "black pudding") is great.
It's usually made with pork blood and fat, onions and spices.

Peanut butter w/ fried and battered cod fish sprinkled w/ Doritos on top, in between a raisin bread roll, with guacamole on top and side of asparagus dipped in ketchup.

Menudo. Its beef tripe (cow's stomach lining) and hominy (corn) in a red chili soup, often flavored with onions and lime. Its amazing, but beef tripe has a very unappealing chewy texture which will put many people off. Not to mention every now and then you get a piece of bone in your soup, ha.

Growing in the Liguria italian region I learned to love "Trippa alla Genovese", a tripe dish with vegetables, tomato, pine nuts and mushrooms.

I love Pretzel Pop-tarts.

This thread has me straight triggered dude

I have heard other people say red onions on sandwiches or pizza are disgusting but I love them. However I can't stand olives on anything so I guess I kind of get it.

Also fried calamari is good

I do this with regular old ramen btw. Lotsa protein and lotsa carbs in one easy lazy meal. Cheesy shells sounds even better.

Brussels Sprouts. Roasted with bacon and maple syrup.

Pizza with spicy beef, pepperoni, and pineapple.

McDonald's fries with strawberry thick shake.
