He's gone from mediocre to progressively decrepit. His entire game consists of receiving the ball on the wing and going on an aimless run before passing it back or making a cross to nobody or receiving the ball in a position too good for even him to fuck up and diving for a penalty.

I don't necessarily disagree wi you, but United have this knack of beating teams even while playing shit football. They've gone being so often this season and more often than not go on to win. he's invisible a lot since he's been playing for united. their playing style isn't really suited for him--it's very archaic--but over the last years he has turned into a prolific goalscorer as well, so in terms of goals, it doesn't matter much anymore to him.

it's a waste, though, to see a player as technically gifted playing for a team that don't play much better football than, say, stoke city or west ham or whatever. oh well.
