Football powerhouse Argentina could be out of the World Cup this Tuesday

It will be nice to see Perú again in the World Cup. Last week's matches were a rollercoaster, with Chile, for instance, jumping from the 6th to the 3rd place at this stage of the qualifying rounds.

Tomorrow is going to be a hell of a night here in South America (And I agree, I kind of want to see the reaction of the argentinian media if they don't make it).

Torture when they're losing and crying?... no way... XD... It's the funniest thing to watch on live TV. TBF, we have a similar situation with our sport media coverage. If tomorrow Colombia fails to qualify, el Calvo Vélez (Planeta Fútbol) and Iván Mejia (La Polémica) are gonna destroy poor Pékerman and everyone at the FCF... XD

Certainly wasn't the weakest but one they should have finished second in. They could have won their group had they known how to hold onto a lead. Been the same problem for the last few years (Poland, England, Slovenia, etc).
 
Holanda (Top 3 from last World Cup) out. I'm from Argentina, not very optimistic about tonight... leaving work right now, let's see how it goes.

If we're not in, I don't know how I'm going to avoid the world cup next year, it'd be painful. :P
 
Going to a friend's house to watch the match. The excitement is palpable here in Peru, whether you are at the street, at work or in a restaurant. Colombia should've won their match last week, would've given us Peruvians an edge. Hoping Brazil crushes Chile real hard, nothing personal but it's what we need.

He did two goals today, the second one was outstanding.

You had bad luck with your team the last two world cups: Best Spain team of all times (I still remember both Robben's misses that day) and well, an unimpressive semi final last time, also penalties.

I think Netherland as well as Argentina failed to replace their last generation of players.
 
Wait, weren't Peru and Chile not given the points they would have gotten from the forfeited matches? That was a bit shady. If those were given, maybe Argentina would have already been out?

It’s not like he was going to do much. Argentina having their World Cup dreams dashed by little Ecuador is what the world needs and wants.
 
Anybody know what channel this might be on with DirecTV or if it will be streamed somewhere? The channel I thought it was on doesn't seem to exist for me, so I'm a bit stumped.

Also, kickoff is in about an hour?

It’s on the Spanish language beIN channel, SAP should get you English commentary. Also streaming via beIN connect with every other match.
