John Terry is set to give Chelsea a massive Champions League boost by being fit for next week’s semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid.
Terry was carried off 20 minutes from the end of Tuesday’s goalless draw in the Vicente Calderon after picking up two knocks in quick succession.
Substitute keeper Mark Schwarzer revealed he had already landed on Terry’s foot before the skipper rolled his ankle tripping over fellow defender David Luiz after an aerial collision with Atletico danger-man Diego Costa.

The 33-year-old limped heavily through immigration and arrivals lounge and onto the coach back to the club’s Cobham base, although he was, perhaps surprisingly, not using crutches.
But Terry was walking without a limp at Cobham on Thursday morning after undergoing manipulative treatment, with more of the same scheduled over the next three or four days
