Defoe signs a new long term contract with Spurs.

Looks like no new strikers, which probably signals a move for Moutinho.

Where are you seeing that?

EDIT: Oh. I like JD, if he's happy to be a squad player that's just fine. Doesn't mean we won't flog him next summer.

AVB has also confirmed we won't be signing Remy. Sky saying we are going after Llorente.

I agree with Arnie.

No new striker probably means that Spurs are going all in for Moutinho.

And rightly so, in my opinion. Spurs need the midfield sorted before anything else; Adebayour's a great striker to have, even if he's not 'world class' or whatever abstract definition we're judging players by nowadays.

Hmmm. Most likely means now a move within the PL will happen if thats the case.

Several reports suggesting he's having a medical at Fulham right now.
Sky now saying we are trying to get Llorente. Seems like there is no way back for him at Bilbao so I guess it's worth a shot.

Llorente: Athletic only accept 36m euros of buy out clause and NOBODY paying that. As it stands, he's staying. Nobody expects changes

VDV fee described as 'utopian' by Hamburg chairman. That's a new one.

Pedro Pinto talking about Moutinho on talksport at the moment

There's no chance of anything happening with Llorente unless Athletic decide to sell.

I can't believe that Bendtner is actually really coming to Juventus, I was joking when I've said is name. I've watched him plays in like 5/10 matches and he seems like a good striker to me. But in no way I know more than Arsenal fans about him, or people that follow the premier league. Arsenal fans, he's more like a Marchisio type of person or more like Balotelli? He's really that bad as a striker? I hope that he will do well with us, he's basically for free this year and I think 6m€ for him is a good deal. Can't wait to see him play with us.

Sky says Bendtner is on his way to Torino now to undergo his medical with Juve.

Weeelll at least it's going to be funny. We're obligated to have one joke striker per season.

Why did Berba not wanna move to Juve?

Because Conte is corrupted.

(best footyGAF meme ever)

There is no way it will happen, but I'm sure Levy will throw one of his lowball bids in their direction.

He scored against Barcelona!

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets 15 goals for Juve, not surprised at all.

Bendtner has ability. He's just clumsy and by all accounts a bit of a dick.

Definitely not the type of player Juve fans would have hoped for, but he really isn't hopeless...he can score goals. He's a 1 in 3 type of player I think.

Why does that mean that Spurs are not in for a new striker?

Because money's a finite resource, and this is an indication that they're consolidating their current striking options in order to allocate the funds elsewhere, mainly into FC Porto's bank account. If they were buying a new striker they'd probably let Defoe go out, or at least hold off renewing his contract in case someone came in with an eleventh hour bid. Defoe's one of those strikers who's gold dust for middling teams.

Bendtner isn't a striker.

Strikers get in the box.

The red line is where Bendtner goes with the ball.

The blue represents the forcefield that must exist when he gets it.

You all know that Bendtner is going to be a success at Juventus right? He will reach double figures comfortably.

This is the way football works.

Bendtner is now travelling from Milano to Torino (takes about 1.30 hours) to have his medical.

It's not too late guys, I've got a few ideas!

With that midfield behind him it'd be hard not to.

Leverkusen fans are raging about Samed Yesil. Lot of people (fans and journalists) saying the fee is ridiculous.

RT @liam_tomkins Yesil's youth/res goalscoring record: 2011/12: 27 games, 19 goals. 2010/11: 36 games, 37 goals. 2009/10: 29 games, 16 goals

Yesil's stats for Leverkusen U19 last season: 23 appearances (22 starts) • 19 goals • 5 assists. Scored 2 hat-tricks, too. via @Ezizallamov

Might turn out to be a star this lad.

Do tell. It's too late for Bendtner, but they may come handy for future Marotta's mercato fuckups. Provided he even gets the chance after this season.

Like Zalayeta back in the days...mmm...

I feel the same for the 15 goals. Unfortunate to know that he's a bit of a dick, I hope that he changes in Torino.

You are right, every time I've watched him with Arsenal he was like that, but with Denmark during Euro 2012 he plays much more as a striker at least for what I've seen. He does a good amount of assist too and he can open space for Vidal and Marchisio to score even more goals.

True, we have so many clear chances to score last year.

Samed Yesil is a FM star, I know that much. And my German friend is raging at me over texts right now.

Arnie already used my favorite gif so I'll hold off until the next page. ;)
