We shouldn't have gone for the win there with 10 men, a point is fine at that stage

We really need someone with a ruthless streak at the edge of the box. That's the end of Borini's Liverpool career thankfully. Fucking idiot.

Very frustrating match. Sakho was fantastic I thought. Toure should have put Cazorla's cutback out for a corner, it was well within his reach. System shows promise. Needed to avoid defeat today, and need to beat Burnley on Boxing Day.

...hate me...
If we keep playing like this we will go on a winning run. Need to convert these chances—we had fucking loads of them.

Happy with how we played, think this season can be salvaged.
Jackson Martinez on the january transfer window would fix all your problems.

Can't have him tho :/

What's happened to players defending the back posts? Many teams just don't seem to bother with it at all nowadays.

Why did Liverpool buy Lambert again...if they don't have confidence in him to play as a striker

Well he definitely has had opportunities, but he just hasn't fit the system. The way we put balls in between the lines and behind the defense, we just don't play well with an immobile target man. We saw it with Carroll, we're seeing it with Balotelli and Lambert. We need speed and someone who can get the ball and lay take it forward.

If you keep defending like this you will go on a losing run, Arsenal scored when they attacked or were close to scoring.

Other teams will play better than they did.

ideal formations now??? presuming everyone is alive

-------------------------GK----------------------------
red cafu-------toure--------sahko--------moreno
-------------------lucas/can/gerrard----------------
------------------------hendo-------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------
lallana--------------------------------------markovic
------------------sterling------------------------------
----------------------------sturridge------------------

havnt decided who should take that DM role... so ive thrown those 3 there as the options

Open, end-to-end half with two dogshit defences and a lumbering Joel Campbell comes on instead of the quickest player in the league. Never mind Giroud being on another stratosphere to Welbeck and Alexis all game, and actually being useful at defending set-pieces. Horrendous subs.

Mertesacker definitely has a shout for worst Arsenal player this season.

Cazorla was great, but fucked up at the end imo. That was a big chance.

Chambers made another mistake for that Liverpool goal.

Just don't see that good player he supposedly is.

He's got good feet, can distribute the ball well, and is really composed. He's also 19 playing way too many games in a ridiculously unstable defence. He's a talent. Not particularly worried about him at all.

Pretty sure Mertesacker ducked below an incoming Skrtel whereas Chambers was always behind him too.

I dunno, we controlled so much of the game against a team with a strong midfield, I don't really see the same conclusions. We played well vs Man Utd, played well vs Bournemouth and played well vs Arsenal. If we can sort out the finishing we won't be chasing every game desperately and can use our midfielders to reinforce the defense.

Maybe optimistic but the signs are positive despite the results not being ideal

I think a back four of Flanagan, Sakho, Toure, and Manquillo might be alright.

Sone decent signs today, a point is a decent result but we need to do very well in this festive period in order to still have a chance at forth..

A strong midfield? Flamini, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Cazorla is a strong midfield?

There are different kinds of composure though. He might be good with the ball at his feet, but he gets booked an awful lot which suggests that he's sloppy with his challenges. I don't think he's that impressive individually when it comes to defending. I don't doubt his potential as Wenger is one of the best in spotting it, but right now he's struggling.

Definitely should be on the bench. Don't think Wenger wants to have to be playing him every game.

I'm glad Mario isn't getting any minutes. Please fucking kill his career already

Where the fuck is Walcott?

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much
'Our performance today was better than the 5-1 here'

He's on a roll.

Brendan is a sensational shit talker.

Do think he has a point though—we were brutally effective in the 5-1 but the control and the chances created today were better IMO. Just couldn't take em.
