Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much
Sunderland just don't have any good players. They are no worse in terms of organisation than Burnley, QPR etc but they don't have an Ings/Berahino/Austin calibre player.

I'm still pissed that we drew against them early in the season. You have to really shit yourself for them to score.

I'm terrified whenever Lovren is within 10 yards of the ball, as is he. Can is legit better than him in all aspects of being a CB.

Still though, CLEAN SHEET. 3 POINTS. LAZAR GUIDED MISSILES

Don't get the talk about being 'wrong' about Markovic. Anyone who judges a 20 year old player based off a few performances in a new team is being rash.

I can't fucking stand the SOL fans. Every time I watch Sunderland play I notice the same thing. They never cheer for anything except to rabble-rabble when they think one of their players is fouled. It's cynical as hell.

I'll hold my hands up

Between his short performance against City, and his first game at LWB, I saw nothing to suggest that he was capable of these performances. He hasn't been slowly getting better like Lallana, or sustained averageness like Manquillo. He was poor, but has become boss at the click of a formational finger.

Felt like that last half hour, we were playing it as though we were 2-0 up and had room for error. Should have retained possession, and kept it simple in attack, keeping them running as we searched for a more likely goal.

Regarding the Coutinho mini-debate, if he could keep his head when chances present themselves, he'd easily be a 12-a-season player. Maybe not 20, but there are very few players in the league as adept at finding scoring positions between the penalty spot, and edge of the D. He just drags far too many of them unfortunately, either wide or into the keeper's arms.


I don't want Gerrard to leave. He frustrates me, but the thought of him playing for anyone else just isn't right, even if it is in the MLS.

Has Rodgers had an argument with an official during the game yet?

He wasn't great but I didn't think he was poor either. He looked like a player who just hadn't settled into his new team and hasn't been given an opportunity to shine yet.
