I see your point. However I guess my feelings still and stand and the point I was trying to make is that they both over attempt and fail the Hollywood pass. Gerrard is obviously the better passer not what I was trying imply.

The only thing this back 3 has over the diamond is that Blind and Carrick can play together. It feels so much safer with Blind at LCB. A proper CB instead of Smalling/Jones could actually make it work .

Past the midfield line the passing is atrocious tho. I don't get a sense Di Maria is being used properly where he is now. =/
