Southampton's catchment area for their academy is massive. It's no surprise that they have developed so many prospects. They have no real competing academies for that part of England.

Apparently Portsmouth have started to develop their academy now, but it will be years before that is considered competition.

Maybe with you I dont have lag.

But who am I kidding. I know you since 8 years but except some games in PES 2008 we never play together anyway lol.

8 years already?
Well, it's true and we should change this :)

Maybe it will happen with MGS. Would be nice.

I still remember the first time I saw you Jack. I think it was at one of the Games Conventions in Leipzig where you suddenly tapped my shoulder lol. I was like w0000t.

Hahaha, yeah I remember. I also remember first time in Cologne when we watched the opening match of Bundesliga with a non Bayern fan. Great times.

That's really cute. Bayern gaf is awesome.

The biggest problem with Avengers 2 is that they teased Thanos at the end of the first one but now who we are getting is instead Ultron. It really feels like a stopgap than a full-blown sequel for me at this point. I'm sure it will be good though, but I'm not hyped.

The 2nd problem for me is Star Wars. I mean, Star Wars. Seriously.

Star Wars.

There's where all my hype is at the moment.

Star Wars.

Do you guys think the Marvel Hype will die down in the next years? At one point you reach oversaturation, dont you?

I dunno, Hollywood seems content on producing culturally irrelevant film franchises that capitalize on nostalgia and then milking them to death. If it isn't Marvel, it'll be shit like the Hunger Games, Star Wars, Twilight, etc. The next 5 years of films are already planned out for the most part, and surprise, there are going to be lots and lots of sequels.

Sanogo looks like he just stared in to Pardew's soul and found the abyss.

I think it also helps that we are seen to give youth a better chance to play first team football (when they are ready). One of our next young left backs that look good came from the Chelsea academy. He didn't see a chance there so moved here. Hopefully this keeps happening.

Cavani incoming

jk :(

thats sounds like my cup of tea

Akpom is going to be brought into the first team I'd imagine.

errr....the exact opposite of my previous statement

that is why I said Ultron is the Bayern of movies. Flavour of the month for long periods when there is no competition, but then when it comes down to it at the end of the year everyone's attention is elsewhere

Thanos looks even worse than Ultron.

Lazio President Claudio Lotito “The selfie was an inappropriate gesture that has nothing to do with football,” Lotito fumed in an interview with Radio Due.

“Incidents? The selfie is harmless, but it fires up an already high-pressure situation.

“Totti’s selfie was out of place, and my captain [Stefano Mauri] would never have done it.

“It’s impossible for Roma to win the Scudetto. Juventus are stronger.

“Roma won’t win the League title, I’ll bet the Lazio presidency on it.”

ROMA PLEASE WIN THE TITLE FOR HUMANITY'S SAKE
Bayern gaf is awesome.

I always had a soft spot for Ronaldo because he is nowhere nearly as daft or pretentious as many made him out but that roar yesterday with all the overacting made me cringe and even I felt embarassed. A rare moment when you could literally see how superficial and affected he is actually is. Still deserved of course.
David Luiz :lol

You need to conceed 7 goals in a WC semi to have those stats. Wonder what Dante has.

hey I'm Iranian too but to be honest I haven't watched one match since the world cup.

is there any club you support?

Seriously? I think Gentle Rodriguez is too. where is he btw? I haven't been here in a few months.

Bayern, my name is in the first post.

Roma Coach Rudi Garcia says he was ‘thinking of Manuel Neuer’ for the Ballon d’Or, and praises his captain Francesco Totti after the double against Lazio.

Cristiano Ronaldo won his second consecutive FIFA Ballon d’Or today, one day after the 2-2 Derby della Capitale that saw Totti score a brace.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player of 2014 but I was thinking of [Manuel] Neuer,” confessed Garcia in an interview with Sky Sport Italia.

“But the Ballon d'Or must go to the absolute best among the players.”

Totti is among the most prominent Italian strikers never to have won a Ballon d'Or, but the Frenchman thinks little of that statistic.

“The captain is fantastic and he showed it yesterday. I'm glad to have him, even at 38. It's good to Coach such a genius every day in training.

“As for not winning that prize, the Ballon d’Or is just like that. Ronaldo won the Champions League and this probably helped him.

“Maybe Totti could have won it in 2006, when he became world champion. His joy and his desire on the pitch are what matters

Not that year, but the biggest injustice in football is Totti not winning it in 2000. Totti was playing on a whole other level back then. Destroyed teams including France in the Euros.

It might sound salty, but it pains me to see Ronaldo have three of the awards. Totti has more talent, skill, and vision in just his left heel, than Ronaldo does in his whole body.

How Neuer, or Lahm didn't win the award shows that the voters are even dumber than me.

How has Luiz been for PSG so far? I haven't seen headlines and/or gifs of huge gaffes.

so he had a shit world cup. you guys are harsh.

Don't know really, I mostly watched CL and a couple of Ligue 1 games but what I saw was solid and he is basically Pique. He needs a strong CB besides him to perform and has a tendency of making big mistakes in positioning. I also think that he was benched in a few games recently.

Juicy stuff on Pogba. LVGenius and Moanino on red alert

“It’s normal that he might leave in a year,” Raiola told Italian television station Mediaset. “He is one of the best eight players in the world and the top European clubs like him.

“We’ve renewed at Juventus and he feels great there, and he is playing very well. Will he leave? It’s up to Juventus, we’ve renewed his contract, we’re happy there but when the right moment comes to leave, we will seize it.

“I always knew how talented he was, but when you bring such a young player to Italy, it’s not easy for him to make an impact immediately.

“He’s grown quicker than even I expected. Pavel Nedved (former Juve midfielder and current board member) said he is good enough to be considered for the World Player of the Year award.”

Pogba left Manchester United to join Juventus in 2012, after opting not to sign a new deal at Old Trafford. It seems certain that when he does depart, his transfer fee will be one of the highest in history.

Juve’s transfer and contract chief Giuseppe Marotta had earlier insisted: “Every European club is watching and has been in contact, but Pogba is an important player and we don’t need to sell him.”
