Think Matic was quite forceful. Something Jose said yesterday suggested it was matics people who told Jose he wanted to come. Otherwise he never would have bothered trying as he thought it was impossible. Still crazy.

Matic have long and really terrible drops of form, is 29, and was looking to become a bench player at Chelsea. Selling him to United was annoying, but I am not all that bothered about him leaving. Think United could have done better at that amount of as well. But he wanted to leave, and Chelsea weren't about to make him a starting 11 next season... so eh.

They were 2nd or 3rd best in both seasons. Best teams are decided for that season, not averaged across 2 seasons to support the narrative. Every Spurs fan would rather want they win once than bottle up every year after putting pressure on.
