Football Thread 2017/18 |OT2| Fractured but Ox

It's a decision that does not reflect well on upper management. I don't think the PSG match was a good reason to fire Ancelotti. If you make this decision, you make it before the season.
of course not. I'm tired of their bullshit meek spendings. Go out there and try to get a world class player or near WC player. Instead we get a bench player on loan to save us. Fucking amateur hour. This case, Carlo was terrible though. Bayern literally had 2 good games since preseason.

I remember telling you guys about Carlo

Congrats, you're now free again.
who do you support dear prophet lol

Hope whatever coach replaces him (most likely Tuchel), he works on defense before anything. Lets look at Bayern during Heynckes era, where being 1-0 meant we had a strong chance to win the game.

Willy Sagnol as interim coach is a bright light for me. Not happy with how things have unfolded though, even if I was not a fan of Ancelotti. Disrespectful treatment.

Yesterday he dug his own grave with that line up. 1,5 years from a Top 3 club to international no mans land.

What's with all the hate? Arsenal are a very solid team. Got a draw at Chelsea in the weekend and tonight they will master BATE in Belarus.

Clubs such as Andelrecht and Ajax and Aberdeen will die in the next few years and no one will give a fuck.

Meanwhile, Hull and Wigan and Burnley will reap the cash, and the empty grounds will look on and judge you, so-called experts.
Yeah and FIFA and UEFA aren't helping. See next year's changes to the CL for example.

Dude attack and defense has regressed under Carlo. He has such good defenders and they look like scrubs on a regular basis. No chance of winning CL at this rate with the defense being this pathetic. Tuchel.. eh. He should be better than Carlo at least

Is Tuchel the guy though? I honestly can't remember how he had Dortmund play last year, even forgot that he left the job...

The bigger issue at Bayern is the total lack of long time strategy in terms of signing new players. No coach will compensate for that.

Also let's see if anybody can really fix Ribery and Muller.

Edit: and Alaba and the whole defence..

Must be nice to be an Arsenal fan. Nothing to ruin.
Sorry.

Not sure. He has 3 drawbacks atm:
- Naive defensively in CL. High line and getting duped, basically what's happened to Bayern recently in CL. Which isn't promisisng. He didn't give too much optimism based on BVB's game in Europe during his 2 year stint.
- fights with management, difficult character.
- not good at getting the best players transfer wise

He is young and can improve obviously. But Carlo had to go no matter what.

You can't fix Ribery dude, he's done. Finito. Finished. Fin. It's over. Muller, Alaba and the overall D however, yeah a coach should sort it out.

Why does he wear the mask!?
Nobody hates Arsenal anymore. Most people pity them. Just not sure why Arsenal fans are getting chirpy, that's all.

lol

probably because all we see in here is bayern fans proclaiming their team is doomed and the manager is a fraud when they're winning 3-0

I fully agree with that. Without Sammer and Pep the bosses are back to their 2002-2008 way of buying players, but with added stingyness (compared to the rest of Europe).

I wonder how Sagnol will do. I think they are hoping for Nagelsmann next season and don't want Tuchel because of that.

Müller sucks now? I mean sure he is uneven...

He hasn't been the same, but I do think he will bounce back if given the proper role.

Honestly I'm more unhappy with our board than I was with Carlo.
I liked and miss Sammer, wish he was with the club. He was a very critical guy and even criticized the team when Bayern won. Clearly not this delusional level that FO like Rummenigge and Hoeness. Can someone slap these guys up in the head. The team at times needs a world class player or someone that will soon get there. Not everything can be 20m gems. Kimmich worked out, but you're not going to get that every purchase.

Nagelsmann is not an option. Hoffenheim wont let him leave and he is still too unexperienced for a big club. Maybe in 3 or 4 years. Tuchel is the obvious choice. Klopp stagnated for years, Blanc and Enrique are out of the question. The list of proper coaches available is short.

Carlo out? Damn, that didn't work out huh?

Mourinho is doing well at United ATM, who will Carlo replace? Back to Italy?

Even PSG kept Emery after the disaster CL campaign last season. Bayern might be jumping the gun here.

So Pep or Carlo, who was better? And when do Bayern fans start to question the higher ups?

The only thing that Pep didn't win with Bayern was a Champions but the team always played good football with him coaching. In my opinion Pep's work at Bayern was excellent.
