Football Thread 2017/18 |OT2| Fractured but Ox

I am sure that Hoeneß and Rummenigge are questioning themselves right now, after the media building the story of "Bayern in ruins".

Whatever happened to Müller, right now he should not be starter. We lose any kind of control in the last third because of his inability to hold the ball alone.

Carlo did what he did since he is coach: Individual class outmuscles the opposition. He mostly had some of the best players of their generation and used them properly for a season though. PSG was not the big club then, Madrid was a wreck after Mou, Chelsea had real cunts that played for him for one season. Bayern is a team in transition, in their understanding a top 3 club and came from Jupp and Peps possession ultra pressing vertical football. The rest is known.

The cunts at Bayern were always like that. I remember Hoeneß sacking Heynckes in 1991 for similar reasons and presented the failure of a coach: Sören Lerby. Uli regrets this until today but obviously didn't learn. Look at the Klinsmann disaster after Hitzfeld. I admire their risk but even after 8 weeks we all knew where the journey would end.

I just pray that after all this they install a guy like Tuchel or Nagelsmann and let them do the transition. And might rethink their stance towards worldclass players and price.

And yes, I live in Munich.

Even if they bring them, if they don't spend a ton on tops players instead 15m installments on 5 players like they do, it will mean nothing. And then Hoeness and Rummenigge can cry about the power of money while they rake in their pockets and act like delusional fools who don't spend.

Right now Bayern lacks wingers of the highest quality. They turned down Draxler (WHAT THE FUCK), didn't up their spendings for Sanchez. Both clubs wanted to sell to Bayern, they just didn't want to ruin the relationship with Robbery and wanted to be cheap. Imagine the team with those two at the wing atm. FFS

I don't agree with everything you two said in your conversation. But I have to strongly disagree with Martinez playing terrible against PSG. Martinez and Kimmich were the only two on the pitch who looked like they wanted to win and are capable of helping the team. I have no idea what made you say this, twice.

Chelsea had real cunts that played for him for one season.

What? Chelsea players have often cunted it up against their manager and pretty much gotten him fired, but it's well documented that the Chelsea squad loved Carlo, even going as far as taking them out on the day of his sacking. It was Roman and the rest of the management being terrible.

was scared chelsea would lose willian over the summer, if he keeps playing as he has been I won't be so scared anymore

Can we talk about how i had the feeling that Napoli is going to take Scudetto out of Juventus this season.T_T

I swear I remember somebody in this thread saying possession based football never wins anything. You will be fine according to them.
You gonna loose.

I meant that they played for Carlo because they loved him. They were still cunts though.

Newcastle described as 'black and white scum' in subtitle error
An "unfortunate error" in subtitling led to Newcastle United being labelled "black and white scum" during the BBC's Match of the Day 2 programme.
Commentator Guy Mowbray said Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge had scored five goals against the black and whites.
But software confused the word "comma", spoken by a subtitler, and put "scum" into the on-screen text.
The BBC said the error was spotted and corrected immediately.

did you have the same feeling last year in September when Juve fell to 2nd place for like a week?

Last season actually with how we don't have Pogba, i had the same exact feeling but this year, our backline is not doing that well and Buffon is regressing badly.T_T

I agree that he looked like he wanted to win, but he really wasn't good defensively. There was one instance before the game ended that Bayern countered, and Lewy passed to Martinez since noone else attacked. Too often he wasn't aggressive enough but would run after attackers merely to try to cut space so they couldn't pass (which didn't work). The clearance on the 3rd goal was also absolutely pathetic. Saying that, Alaba and Sule were noticeably worse. Lewy and Kimmich to me were allright, but that is it. One thing is that Sule is absolutely not ready for this top CL level yet, and Martinez is not leading from the back. For me, Hummels should start from now on and if Boateng can't get his form back by Feb and plays like Bumtang, then Martinez can be tried at the position. I'll leave it to the new coach
Tuchel
to sort it out.

EDIT: +1 on having the best SH on your avi

For once I'm glad of the international break. Don't have to watch Liverpool fuck it up for at least a fortnight and can just play some vidyagames.

They'd never be able to compete on a cold Tuesday night at Stoke. Why embarrass themselves?

They'd be fine with Stoke. Stoke haven't been hard to break down since Hughes took over, especially in the last few years. Tony Pulis the budget Mourinho is the real reason they got that phrase and West Brom are the current club that play exactly like Stoke did back then. Don't win much, don't loose much and hard to break down.

All this Barca stuff is crazy, come join the Prem if you decide to leave La Liga

This would be the first step towards an European Super League. At some point teams would start picking where they wanted to play and would form that Super League.

I don't want it. The Champions League is more than enough.

The only way this Barça to the Premier League should be approved is if they start by playing on the lowest division in England. That would be fucking hilarious.

Put them in the Scottish league. Celtic could use the competition.

Manchester evening News saying

Manchester United are 'highly confident' of landing Arsenal star Mesut Ozil on a free transfer next summer, according to reports.

Of the two stars available on a free, I can't imagine Mou wanting Ozil.

He did I suppose. Just hasn't looked close to it most of the time since he joined Arsenal. I suppose a fre transfer means you don;t care quite so much.

Yay another #10 to join the ranks.

Ozil at United would be the end of Mata I presume, unless he is content becoming more of a squad player. United do lack a creative attacking midfield off the bench. I was hoping Pereira would stick around and get the chance to play in 15-20 games this season.

Maybe with a manager who wasn't well past his prime, beleaguered and a soft touch Ozil would be better.

Can't imagine Jose going easy on him, could be good for him

That Palace goal of the month compilation is the greatest thing I’ve seen in a while. Holy shit 😂😂

Why does he wear the mask!?
Former Bayern Star Markus Babbel slams Ribery: "He still sees himself on the same level as Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi...For me, some Bayern players live too much in the past."

Ribery threw his shirt into the substitutes' bench when Ancelotti replaced him in the closing stages of last month's home Champions League win over Anderlecht.
"This is an absolute no-go for me," added Babbel, who won three Bundesliga titles with Bayern.
"The club would have had to react – but this is exactly the problem. If Franck Ribery is offended, he calls Uli Hoeness and then you have already lost as a coach.
"For me, some Bayern players live too much in the past. We were world champions, we won the Champions League many times.
"But it is about the actual state of the team and I would be very surprised if Carlo Ancelotti did not recognise this and set his team up accordingly [against PSG]."

Bout fucking time someone called Ribery on his bullshit. Dude acts like the GOAT and hasn't been good enough to start for Bayern for 3 fucking years. Other news Uli Hoeness met with Pep in Munich today, and Rummenigge talked to him a few days ago. Relationship seems quite good, I imagine Pep comes back at some point in the future back to Munich. Also the way Uli reports it, the new Bayern coach will be announced very soon, before the next Bundesliga game.
