[Stone] Asked Sam Allardyce if Arsenal were rivals at bottom: "Absolutely. They haven’t won a PL game for almost double figures (is seven, one win in 10). Getting beaten last night, even though not in PL drains confidence of Arsenal’s players. They will be wondering what has hit them"

In these uncertain times with Covid 19 shutting down the world, I think it is only fair that all leagues should be shut down and all current seasons cancelled, so that we can start again from scratch next year.

By the way are you ArtetaIN or ArtetaOUT?
IF Arteta get sacked who do you want to replace him?
Regardless of Arteta situation what changes would you do to Arsenal?

Out, personally I would like Max Allegri, but I don't see Arsenal as a club that even desires to win the league, and would he even want the job, considering how the club operates? They're better jobs to be had. Not a fan of backroom staff selecting and signing players either, so would change that first and foremost.

Signing fucking William and then sacking the mascot, who quite frankly would be more effective on the pitch. Signing Saiba and not including him in the squad, and even worse not wanting to loan him out, especially to a team in the lower half of the table.

Joke of a club.

The biggest problem the club face at the moment aside from the the owners and the backroom staff is the players, they know they can bully any manager into bending to their whims by tanking the club results and have done it to two managers before him and they got sacked. As long as your players as a group know this and as long as they get the result they ask for (either the manager cave to them or get sacked) Arsenal situation will remain the same in the long run with short lived bounces when changes happen.

[Alan Shearer] Steven Gerrard: "Would I love to be the coach of Liverpool one day, is it a dream? Yes. But right now we have one of the best managers in the world if not the best. Just because I was a good player for LFC & had the career I had, it doesn't mean you're next in line to be manager."

That last part could be a knock on certain someone from certain rival club :pie_thinking:

[Romano] There are ‘positive feelings’ about the contract extension of Luka Modric with Real Madrid, yes. The club is planning with the Croatian as part of the team. But the new agreement has not been signed yet.

[Marca] Luka Modric has reached an agreement in principle to extend his contract at Real Madrid for one more year till June 2022. He has agreed to take a paycut in his renewed deal to stay at Real Madrid.

They NEED to extend with Ramos and Lucas. Without them defense just fall apart...

Got what we deserved last night. Us, of all clubs should know fat sams tactics. Too complacent and were waiting for the final whistle from 30 minutes onwards. Absolute shit sandwich to stomach. Flip side is that despite all our injuries and issue we are still top but we need to find that mojo again this season and quickly.

The other clubs are not particularly looking threatening to your position in the table though :pie_thinking:

I thought Arsenal had more problems with their back line than the forwards :pie_thinking:
For a large part of this season and partly still today our biggest problem is simply internal strife and out of form players. Our team was disgusting to watch the last three months because everyone seemed angry and held their heads low. Zero confidence.

No idea what's exactly the reason though. Be it Willian or Özil or whatever. Just glad its looking up again (At least partly).

As for any specific problem, I don't think we have any this year except for Attacking midfield and depth (or more than depth actual competition regarding several positions).

Special shoutout to our *fans* though who instead of enjoying the last two wins decided to focus on finding new/old targets for scapegoating and abuse. Utterly disgusting.

(As for the backline, its been quite decent this year I thought, confidence issues like the rest of the team aside)

The players individually demand appeasement to perform on the pitch and getting them all to be professionals and do their job at the same time is like herding cats (not because they fight with each other but because they are bullying the manager and the club).

[OptaJose] Luis Suárez has scored eight goals in his first 11 games for atletienglish in #LaLiga equaling the best starting for a Atlético's striker in the competition this century (Radamel Falcao in 2011).

[El Chiringuito] Koeman about the Transfer Market : "I don't need to repeat myself, we have said it several times. We need someone upfront so we can score more goals"

Nobody know how Barcelona got that hole in the front line :pie_thinking:
To be fair to Barcelona they couldn't afford to keep him anyway.

So you don't see him as a starter? The talk is he's asking for a lot in wages. So that would be an expensive sub.

Depend on what position he is trying to start at, the thing is that he can play in several positions so he can be one player that cover for multiple positions when the players injured. And I don't think he will get a high wadge but a fair one.

[Fabrizio Romano] Borussia Dortmund CEO Watzke just confirmed that Jadon Sancho was ‘ready for the transfer’ to Manchester United this summer. Personal terms were agreed. To be clear: Jadon is *not* moving in January. The race will be on again next summer and #MUFC are expected to be involved. 🔴

Scenes if he joins someone else.
