That's a really cute video. I normally hate cute, but that's a hard video for me to hate. It's so sweet and innocent.

And Jenny Lewis is hot, of course.

Although I'm not ND's biggest fan (especially after hearing everyone quote it for the last six months), I actually enjoyed that video. Ben Gibbard does get on my nerves for some reason, though.

are the people in the video the actual band members? i've never seen pics of them.

Yeah, that's Gibbard singing and Jimmy Tamborello aka Dntel playing the keyboard and eating peaches.

It's quite an accomplishment to get Tamborello before a camera. He's pretty shy.

This album practically came out like 8 years ago, why are they making a video for it now? As much I truly enjoyed Napolean Dynamite, and don't mind the Postal Service, this video is hateful. HA HA HA BANANA SEATS AND TAPERED JEANS AND POPCORN MACHINES! WEREN'T THE 80'S HILARIOUS?!?!

LeBron loves his girlfriend. There is no other woman in the world he’d rather have. The problem is, Dwyane’s not a woman.

And the girl is Jenny Lewis from Rilo Kiley.

That was a really cute video. I dig Hess' style.

Wasnt she also in the movie The Wizard with Fred Savage?

Yeah... why do people make a big deal about that? And the guitarist was in some Nickelodeon show... but who cares? They're in a band now, talk about the music.

Are Ben and Jimmy ever going to release a new album, or are they going to continue milking Give Up for the rest of their lives?

Well, I think they're busy with their other stuff. I mean, the Postal Service is a side project for both of them.

Something tells me we'll see another album from them, though.

Sorry, it's not you Matrix but it seems like every time Rilo Kiley is brought up anywhere (forums, magazine interviews, etc.) it's always like "OMG WERENT THEY CHILD ACTORS~~!?"

I just snapped. :D

I can't believe The Postal Service are (somewhat) popular.

I- I can't believe YOU are somewhat popular! Take that!

On topic, I really like the video. I thought it seemed post-apocolyptic. Anybody else see that?

And even i am moderately surprised
The Postal Service wrote "The District Sleeps Alone tonight" which takes a dump on most songs out there.

Didn't really care too much for the rest of the album, but loved that track.

even though i can't stand the fucking record or ben gibbard in any of his many satanic forms, jenny is like some crazy 80s goddess and jimmy is my hero, so i guess the video's a wash.

Jimmy is finishing up his second Dntel record and, I believe, has plans to do another Figurine project.

I'm not very up on Gibbard's band, but I think I heard that they got signed or something and are putting out another record very soon.

I love how much people hate The Postal Service. You can always tell when something is really great, because it angers half the population and confuses almost all the rest.

Lisa Edelstein's dad touched my private parts. True fact.
Death Cab signed to Atlantic. I saw Ben on Canal Street the day after a concert and didn't say a word. Love his voice.

New Postal Service single, one fresh track and a Styrofoam cover of Nothing Better (Doubtlessly awesome cover, btw, especially if you've heard Nothing's Lost).

Tamborello is working on new Dntel album (but his third if you count early works for me if it works for you).

Haven't heard about a new Figurine album, but I really fucking hope so!

If you like the Postal Service, I bet you'd like The Go Find - Miami. It's a different sound but playful and melancholic with fun beats. www.morrmusic.com

force push the doodoo rock
i liked that song.

and the girl in the video being the same girl from the wizard seirously just blew my mind.

Thanks for posting this, and thank you DCharlie for recommending The District Sleeps Alone Tonight. Wow, this would have went completely under my radar otherwise.

So true.

Death Cab was recently signed to Atlantic Records, so Ben is busy working on their major label debut. I heard a couple new songs at a Tusnami Beneift show (with James Mercer of the Shins and Dave Barzan of Pedro the Lion) two weeks back, sounding very good.

The Postal Service is a side-project, I'm sure we'll see another album, but not any time soon.

As for the video, it was alright, and I'm in the pro-Napoleon Dynamite camp.

I liked that, and "Such Great Heights" too.
