Former Fast Food Workers: Share your Stories

I've always been curious about the hygene practices at most fast food resturaunts. I assume they aren't very good.

A friend of mines brother used to work at wendy's. Apparently when he cleaned the fosty machine there was a half inch thick layor of dead flies on the bottom of the machine because they would be attracted through the open vent holes.

Share the stories that now cause you not to eat at your former place of employment. :P

A few years ago I worked with a guy who said he and his friends worked at a ff restuarant (I think mcdonalds) and some of them participated in 'flavoring' the food with their own personal sauces. That really turned me off from fast food since then, although I've had other reasons as well.

All of the places I've known have been fairly good, except for one. My sister and best friend have both worked at two different Sonics I've been horrified of their burgers ever since. My friend said that they used to get the patties and throw them at each other and that one guy pissed in one of the coolers. My sister used to tell me how when cooks had a bad day, they'd take it out on the chicken patties with their dicks. yay for me? *gag* But I work at Pizza Hut and they're sticklers for being clean, so was the McDonalds I was privvy to. And every other place I can think I've known someone that has worked there and they said the sanitary level was good. Sonic is the only real bad story I have.

But Lemurs, you never answered me... Marry me.

Not a hygene story, but...

At a Wendy's, we used to lean out of the window and throw the baked potatoes straight up intot the air, and then wait for the *thump* as they landed on the roof.

One night my manager sat me down and told me they'd been up on the roof and counted 30 potatoes up there.

"Thirty potatoes!" I said without hesitation, "Where'd the rest of them go?"

Plus assorted other hijinx. We were morons.

Working at McD's it was pretty tight on the hygiene stuff, though the managers were the biggest sleazes I'd ever encountered.

I guess the only hygiene stuff that I witnessed was when a BBQ container missed it's target and landed in the deep frier to be lost for all eternity. Bit of plastic never hurt anyone. Other than people forgetting to wash their hands every 1 hour... it was pretty humane.
