A franchisee allegedly tried to alert Subway to all of this way back in 2008.

Looks like The Jared Foundation was a sham.
Original article.
Taylor was the one arrested before Fogle.
I haven't eaten at Subway in well over 5 years due to finding their food exceptionally mediocre and intensely disliking their advertisements, so this isn't exactly a rash decision on my part.Their breakfast deal plus some good subs.*shurg* Course shame on them for not taking action if they were apparently notified before, but meh don't feel to boycott them so quick for now.
Oh, sure. But I mean... I don't think my personal boycott, or even something more organized, would really have much of an effect. We have 19 Subways in my metro area of just under 200,000. For reference, we have 10 McDonald's. They've effectively convinced people that it's ~healthy~ and it's cheap. I'd absolutely love for them to go under, but I don't think there's any chance of that. I'd feel bad if the front line employees got laid off, but I'm sure there'd be some other company who would replace them. Hopefully one that's less shitty! You gotta do what you gotta do, but you gotta feel for the grunt workforce who probably hate Jared as much as the next guy but also have to make a living.
Also, fucking this. God I can't stand him.Screw jared, but also fuck Dr. Phil for using this shit for ratings.
Good"Will serve a minimum of 13 before parole. Lifetime supervised release,"
Not much about this case is amusing or funny but this bit made me laugh.Responding to Fogle's statement that his actions have devastated his wife, Judge Pratt interrupted him to say, "You gave your wife almost $7 million though. She'll be OK."
Uhhhhh.......Fogle's lawyer also sought to clarify that while his client had had sex with minors, his victims were adolescents and not children, The Indianapolis Star says.
Good

I mean, I know lawyers will say anything and everything that can help their client but I can't see how much that'll help.
He's going to have a hard time in prison. Pun intended.

What, Jared the Subway Guy went to prison for pornography charges?
Why would he do that, he has enough money for a decent life.

While true I thought one or two of his victims was 13-14 when it happened.Legally it does make huge difference. He'd probably be doing a lot more time if he had. 15-17 is a different felony than 14 and under. At least where I live in AZ it could be different elsewhere.
Wait a minute. Did he just say that the Subway diet led to all of this?
It pisses me off that he got such a light sentence.

Well, he is rich. Rich people usually get lighter sentences. Which is ridiculous.
